8 / 10.0 - The Falconeer
Nov 19, 2020

The Falconeer is a very competent flight combat title set in a gorgeous and mysterious world that is a joy to explore, even if it’s a bit empty.

8 / 10.0 - Space Crew
Oct 14, 2020

Space Crew is a competent sequel to Bomber Crew, and not just a palette swap, as it introduces new elements into the mix while at the same time refining what made the first game so good.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is still the game to beat when it comes to RPG combat, though this remaster plays things a bit too safe, considering its price tag.

Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones succeeds in a task many have failed, as it faithfully adapts Lovecraft’s works into an old-school RPG that will keep fans entertained for hours on end.

8 / 10.0 - Blue Reflection
Oct 17, 2017

Blue Reflection will not revolutionize the JRPG genre, but its tale of magical high school girls fighting an otherworldly invasion is far more grounded than I expected it to be. Players looking for an endearing adventure backed by an entertaining combat system and a gorgeous art style won't be disappointed with GUST's latest release.

8 / 10.0 - Agents of Mayhem
Aug 15, 2017

Agents of Mayhem is one of the most entertaining open world shooters of this generation thanks to its fast paced combat and innovative team-up system. Sadly, Volition‘s latest is far from perfect, as poor vehicle handling, annoying performance issues and a few nasty bugs conspire to drag down the overall experience.

Serious Sam's Bogus Detour is an excellent twin stick shooter that perfectly recreates the feeling of the mainline Serious Sam titles from a new perspective. The newly introduced RPG mechanics may not be everyone's cup of tea, but on the whole, Crackshell's latest release is a resounding success.

The Signal From Tölva is a thinking man's shooter, letting players piece together an interesting story as they fight their way through a sci-fi playground controlled by autonomous AI factions. It doesn't always succeed at what it sets out to do, but at its peak, it's an excellent mix of the best bits of the Far Cry and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.

RIVE is a masterfully crafted game that can be easily recommended to hardcore shooter fans. It’s high difficulty level may scare away potential players, but those who stick with Two Tribes‘ final game until the end will not be disappointed.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 feels like a textbook example of a safe sequel. Gamers who enjoyed the previous title will definitely get a kick out of this one, thanks to the bigger and more detailed hub city, expanded character customization options and solid online servers. Newcomers to the franchise should probably skip the previous game, since DIMPS‘ latest production is better in every way.

8 / 10.0 - Necropolis
Sep 12, 2016

Necropolis: Brutal Edition is a successful mix of Souls inspired combat with roguelike elements. It may hit a few bumps along the road, but Harebrained Schemes’ third person action roguelike can be easily recommended to most gamers, and it’s incredibly fun in co-op.

Yomawari: Night Alone is an excellent survival horror title that will keep players on their toes for the duration of its four hours long campaign. Nippon Ichi Software‘s latest title goes back to the horror genre’s roots, letting go of modern traditions and bombastic set pieces, and focusing on a more personal story instead.

8.5 / 10.0 - Sifu
Feb 14, 2022

Sifu is a gorgeously presented martial arts beat ’em up that will sometimes manage to get in its own way, but almost always ends up making up for its mistakes with exciting combat and a novel approach to death and failure.
