4 / 10.0 - Alekhine's Gun
Mar 26, 2016

Alekhines Gun is named after a sharp and refined move in chess, that requires thinking and weighting. The lack of these skills in a stealth game that carries his name, would probably make Alekhine turn in his grave, and disappoint every fan of this genre.

6.7 / 10.0 - Moon Hunters
Mar 27, 2016

Moon Hunters is a non consistent game that wants to bravely show a different gameplay, though the intriguing potentialities of the latter were not realized as initially thought. However, it is a quite solid game, funny both in single player and in co-op mode.

8.7 / 10.0 - DiRT Rally
Mar 29, 2016

An impressive driving experience. Leaving aside the "glam" tone of Dirt 3 and Showdown, Codemasters synthesize in a game the true feeling of the discipline and the thrill of offroead racing. The console version is technically impressive, smooth as the PC counterpart.

The first DLC for Fallout 4 has some good and interesting ideas, but is a bad engame content. The main quest is too short and the option to create your own robot army won't be involving for those who already finished the game.

6.5 / 10.0 - Nights of Azure
Mar 30, 2016

Fast-paced, agile and funny, Nights of Azure is a light J-RPG with an unexpectedly interesting (love) story. On the other hand, is too easy and tecnhnically poor.

8 / 10.0 - Quantum Break
Apr 1, 2016

As has almost always been true for Remedy productions, Quantum Break is not a game for everyone. Even more clearly than in the past, the Finnish developers focus more on the narrative aspects, first of all telling a story, and limiting the aspects of pure gameplay. However, there is, in Quantum Break, and manages to find an interesting dimension in the use of temporal powers, albeit superficially, between a general heaviness in the character's movements, a neglected (and negligible) upgrade system, a platforming that impresses visually but does not engage the brain in the least, and a limited duration. It remains a great multimedia experiment, a fusion between television serial and videogame unique of its kind, a remarkable test from a technical point of view, and an experience in its own way unprecedented, if only for the unprecedented mix of narrative forms.

7.4 / 10.0 - ADR1FT
Apr 4, 2016

Adr1ft is a short, narrative experience that follows the lead of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Dear Esther and other so called "walking simulators". The first part of the game has a more elaborate gameplay (asking the player to manage the oxygen reserves), but in the end all that matters is the compelling atmosphere.

9 / 10.0 - Dark Souls III
Apr 4, 2016

Miyazaki finds the best way to close the Dark Souls trilogy. In terms of gameplay, Dark Souls 3 has the same taste of the previous chapters, and is not original and fresh as Bloodborne has been. A great number of improvements, still, refine the formula and create another impressive action RPG. Dark Souls 3 is infused with a cruel beauty; its world -assembled with pieces from Lordran and Yharnam and Boletaria - represents a place where any fan would love to wander.

6.4 / 10.0 - Good Robot
Apr 5, 2016

Good Robot is a conventional twin stick shooter, with no distinctive traits to help him emerge and arise from the mass. If you are a strong fan of the genre, give it a try and it will provide an solid but just challenge.

The second episode of this short spin-off is a little better than the debut one. In the first half of Give No Shelter there's some rushed moments and a pinch of groundless fan-service, but after that the story finally thickens. Let's wait for the last chapter and hope for the best.

Apr 5, 2016

It won't have the most innovative gameplay, but Enter the Gungeon is entertaining and inspired. Mixing the mechanics of Nuclear Throne with some "bullet hell" action, it delivers a solid roguelike experience, with a ton of unconventional weapons to have fun with.

7 / 10.0 - Resident Evil 6
Apr 6, 2016

Four years after the original release, Resident Evil 6 is pretty much the same game. The HD version shows the usual technical improvements of many other remaster (1080p and 60 frame per second), but nothing more. Disappointing for the fanbase, Resident Evil 6 is a huge title but is somehow inconsistent, unable to pursue neither the fast paced action of the fourth chapter, nor the survival horror spirit of the origins.

The usual Olympic "adventure" of Mario & Sonic is, as the previous one, a collection of minigames. Well: to be onest, is a collecton of the same minigames we played 4 years ago. And the input detection problems are still here. Think about it only if you skipped London in 2012 and you are an old fan of Track & Field.

After 25 years Day of the Tentacle is still a brilliant game. Irresistible, ironical, with an outstanding style and an amazing screenplay. Double Fine did a great job with the remastering process, modernizing every aspect of the game.

7 / 10.0 - MXGP2
Apr 8, 2016

MXGP 2 desperately needs a new graphic engine. It's a solid motocross experience but there aren't many improvements from the previous chapter.

Epistory is a zelda-like adventure in a universe made of paper and words. It has its own style (even if it can't compete with the fascinating inventions of Tearaway), and elegantly mixes combat and exploration. Is a short and compelling experience, but it would have been nice to see more variety in the structure of the dungeons.

8 / 10.0 - DEADBOLT
Apr 8, 2016

Deadbolt is a small action game that can be extemely funny. The gunfight tension is worth more than the gunfight itself: a fundamental rule in cinema that Hopoo Games perfectly applied to its videogame.

The new expansion for TESO is not as big as the previous DLC, Orsinium. It costs a little less (2000 crowns) and has a light-hearted questline. The interesting thing is that it enhances and upgrades the gameplay, finally giving a relevance to the shadowy, stealthy and furtive activities.

Heart Machine delivers a great masterpiece, an impressive mixture of style and gameplay. Hyper Light Drifter is one of the best action game we ever played, and showcases a complex and enchanting pixel art. It brings you in a silent and distant world, it tests your ability with a deep an fast paced gameplay; it's the rightful heir of '90s bidimensional adventures.

7.8 / 10.0 - Ratchet & Clank
Apr 11, 2016

The new Ratchet & Clank is half a reboot, half an original adventure. It has the old school gameplay, surprising new weapons and gadgets, and a huge veriety of situations to support an interesting adventure. The last part of the story mode, however, becomes too easy and too messy when the weapon upgrade system neutralizes the level of difficulty. Shorter than the original Ratchet & Clank, is a great comeback for the duo anyway.
