Importing the graphics and physics engines of the Forza saga into an open-world arcade racing game was an idea already well exploited in the first installment, but this return to Xbox One with Forza Horizon 2 definitely drives home the point with a next- achievement.

A masterful demonstration (perhaps a little too gory), both from the point of view of the realization as well as the narration, the atmosphere or the playability, even if it is not always the most accurate.

10 / 10 - Bayonetta 2
Oct 13, 2014

The Wii U holds with Bayonetta 2 its trump card: a queen of spades that cuts practically everything that has been proposed so far in the genre and touches us in the heart. Starting on the hats of wheel to never slow down, the trip proposed by PlatinumGames and Nintendo is the type to relive indefinitely to always have in the mouth this inimitable taste.

Eager to re-engage after a decried second installment, BioWare took its time to make what is probably one of its most successful productions. Between its sublime environments that we take hours to explore, its quests, main as annexes, often exciting and lined with difficult decisions to make, its hundreds of secrets, its dashing characters or its captivating fights that it is possible to modulate at will, Dragon Age: Inquisition allows you to reach the peaks of pleasure for anyone who has been bottled at Dungeons & Dragons or at the work of Tolkien. An exceptional RPG not to be missed.

When it comes to re-editing an Old Gen game, it's natural to fear a lazy porting using better resolution as the only selling point. Rockstar clearly didn't take players for pigeons by relying on the popularity of Grand Theft Auto V. In addition to an in-depth reworked production, the publisher reinvents his series by adding a convincing subjective view. It was only a few weeks ago impossible to imagine what Rockstar was planning. A great game.

7 / 10 - Never Alone
Nov 20, 2014

Anyone who is transported by this timeless tale will undoubtedly forgive the various worries of youth from which the game suffers and will live an experience if not rare, in any case sufficiently striking to remember it in several months, even years, with a touch of nostalgia.

Literally transfigured, Majora's Mask expresses here all the ambitions carried by its resolutely dramatic tone. With a concept based on the sometimes oppressive management of time and an approach favouring ancillary activities, this episode certainly goes round in circles, but is nonetheless visionary.

Ori and the Blind Forest is an absolute success, a real little masterpiece as much in its dazzling aesthetics as in its gameplay adjusted to the millimeter. The very touching prologue which makes us plunge into this tears in our eyes quickly gives way to an action / adventure game masterfully led by Moon Studios, where the acquisition of each new power revives the Interest of more beautiful and where the ingenious and memorable sequences are linked tirelessly, from start to finish, without being able to let go of the joystick as the pleasure is great.

Ordinary mortals will no longer need an eternity to taste this opus, while the most diehard will find something to quench their thirst for hemoglobin. Contract therefore fulfilled for From Software. Here is the masterpiece of Hidetaka Miyazaki, father of souls, the signature in blood ink below being authentic.

Whether you're a veteran of role-playing games with Dungeons and Dragons sauce or just a curious man attracted to the genre, don't wait: Pillars of Eternity is a perfect synthesis of the mechanics that made the heyday of typical PC RPGs, when Planescape: Torment or Baldur's Gate reigned supreme. With a captivating story, a real richness and careful writing, Pillars of Eternity is an unmissable role-playing game. The only shadows on the board: the many loading sequences and text up to indigestion. But apart from these little details, Pillars of Eternity is a case of school: well written, well finished, beautiful and rich at the same time, it is a huge adventure that reaches out to you and that will keep you busy for hours ... or for eternity.

Can't resist the appeal of this second DLC. If the 3 drivers (Marie, the villager and Skelet Bowser) and 4 vehicles have no other claim than to satisfy lovers of cosmetic diversity, it is obviously the circuits that allow the machine to be restarted. With very well approached "reprises" such as the merry Baby Parc and the picky Koopapolis of Mario Kart 7 and the new downright rejoicing, the Big Blue drawn from F-Zero in the lead, we can say that the tracks bring a real renewal.

The examination of the open world passage passed brilliantly by The Witcher 3, which does not forget its roots. Beautiful, generous, remarkably well written and staged, enjoying an effective gameplay, this adventure is devoured like a good book whose pages could be rewritten. There is always something to accomplish in these gigantic expanses, superb, full of life and animation, and the charm operated from the first minutes of this violent and adult fresco never breaks, despite some obvious flaws.

Some will see in Super Mario Maker the admission of a lack of innovation so often blamed on the series. Yet this is the most creative approach ever undertaken by our mustachioed plumber. Nintendo thus opens the doors of the Mushroom Kingdom wide so that we offer Mario new adventures, thanks to a surprisingly playful construction process and rarely simple, GamePad in support.

On the good foundations of a Forza 5 which still suffered from a few shortcomings, Turn 10 built an exceptional Forza 6, visually splendid and which immediately imposed itself in the short list of the best racing games of the moment.

A luxury ancillary mission whose (more intimate) story is simply exciting but which, in terms of gameplay frustrates slightly, as much by contributions that do not change much as an erratic difficulty: this is what Hearts of Stone is .
