7 / 10 - Prey
May 9, 2017

It's easy to see that Arkane Studios have been looking quite a lot on Bioshock and Dead Space with Prey. It might not be quite as good as those, mainly due to some poor combat mechanics, but it has an interesting story and a well-designed world.

7 / 10 - Yakuza 0
Jan 27, 2017

In all its weirdness Yakuza 0 is as charming as the series ever has been. It isn't a game for everyone, but for those who fall for this there will be tons of stuff to do, wonderful settings to visit and well-written characters to meet.

7 / 10 - Halo Wars 2
Feb 16, 2017

Halo Wars 2 might be a bit shallow compared to Starcraft 2, but as a strategy game on console it works really well. The controls are easy to understand, it’s action packed and the world is fantastic. For console players looking for a strategy game, Halo Wars 2 is an easy choice.

7 / 10 - Titanfall 2

The multiplayer is as unique as ever, and the addition of a singleplayer campaign (however brief) helps to pad out the game and give its best ideas more room to breathe. Not everything works—least of all the writing—but if nothing else Respawn proves it’s a studio willing to experiment, to push boundaries in a way Battlefield and Call of Duty largely stopped doing years ago.

Gears of War 4 have pretty much the same mechanics that we are used of. It sure is entertaining, but at the same time a little too safe. Overall though, it’s still a great game that every Gears of War fan probably will enjoy.

Pokkén Tournament DX is best described as a accessible fighting game that everyone can enjoy. With that said, the mechanics is still pretty deep, and the gameplay is just as good as the Wii U version.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is ambitious and deep, but also feels a bit out dated on the technical side.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers may be a bit pricey – but it's the same gorgeous fighting game as always. The graphics is beautiful and the mechanics is almost perfect.

After almost two weeks with Starfield, the feeling is that there is still plenty to see and do. An epic space adventure in every way that will suck you into a black hole of entertainment. The game has its problems – especially in the weak main campaign – but you're sure to have other things to do.

With fast and smooth control, stunning visuals and plenty of game modes, Street Fighter 6 is a new star on the fighting scene. As usual, it is difficult to predict how well-functioning and balanced the online part is, but the potential for something really good is there. If nothing else, hours of fun await you in the delightfully strange single-player campaign.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a strange but exciting adventure that blends action, horror and Japanese traditions. Exploring a deserted Tokyo is just the right amount of intimidating, while the battles against twisted demons are both intense and decently original. Some repetitive moments, petty control and a limping story lower the experience a couple of notches, but in the end the positive parts weigh most heavily.

With Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the pink hero makes his debut in a real 3D world. Still, everything feels oddly familiar — for better or worse. Imaginative gameplay and colorful graphics are combined with a low difficulty level and a set-up that relies heavily on secrecy. But when the negative parts weigh so lightly, it's not hard to enjoy one of the best platformers since Super Mario Odyssey.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a game with one foot in the 90s and the other in the present. The foundation is just like in the old 2D classics, but honed control and smart additions do a lot for the whole. This is modern retro at its best.

F1 22 continues in tracks as familiar as well-made. This year with even sharper graphics and physics. Last year's exciting story part is unfortunately deleted, and instead we get to play F1 star with luxurious watches and clumsy supercars. What a buy-down. Fortunately, the setting, career mode and, not least, the driving feel are top notch.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a well-stocked expansion that builds on the base game. It's new difficult monsters, a new city, and some new game mechanics. While it's not a game-changing addition, the expansion is a must-have for fans – and also a decently good starting point for beginners.

After making a success on Playstation, PC gamers now get the opportunity to take on Marvel's Spider-man. Although some parts of the adventure felt outdated as early as four years ago, the good parts are just as delightfully entertaining now as they were then. The fact that the move to pc is just as good as we hoped does not make matters worse.

As The Last of Us finds its way to the Playstation 5, the graphics have been given a loving complete renovation. Otherwise, much is the same as before, although a number of minor improvements do a lot for the experience. There are still elements that gossip that the game's roots stem from old technology, but there's nothing stopping The Last of Us: Part 1 from touching, intimidating, and engaging as much now as it was then.

Hogwarts Legacy is filled to the brim with content and things to see and do. However, depth is lacking and most aspects of the game could well have been expanded a bit more. I simply would have liked to have seen a little more quality over quantity, but regardless, this is an action adventure that will keep you entertained for a long time.

With hysterical excessive action, Bayonetta 3 is unlike anything else. Even the predecessors are in the lee. The adventure constantly surprises with new elements and mighty battles, but not always to the good. On the one hand, the whole becomes fragmented and uneven, and on the other hand, the Nintendo Switch does not really mess with the developers' ambitions. But a damn entertaining action game it is nonetheless.

In combat, Fire Emblem Engage is the best in the series. Classic game mechanics coexist with new clever, if gimmicky, elements of entertaining but painfully unforgiving combat. Outside of the battles, however, the adventure doesn't engage as much and is a noticeable setback alongside its predecessor. But if you're primarily after strategic combat, Fire Emblem Engage is a perfect fit.
