ComiConverse's Reviews

There isn't much new on show here, but fans won't really mind - it's an entertaining romp through the Queen Zenobia emulating the heydays of the series. When you're low on ammo and out of herbs, dreading ambushes at every corner, you're reminded what made Resident Evil so good in the first place.

Although Hellblade has to be commended for its superb presentation and its tackling of the subject matter, it's ultimately let down by its gameplay and structure. It's definitely a game I feel everyone should experience, the voices and visuals alone make it worth playing. But in the end, it falls short of greatness, an excellent shell around a fairly hollow interior.

Playing through Agents of Mayhem is a mixed bag, with great ideas thrown out the window in favor of explosions, and the creative messages lost in the process. The game ends up feeling unfinished.

The Long Dark is a triumph. At times it may feel a little grindy, but there's always a level of tension thanks to its finely tuned systems never letting you get complacent.

There is definitely some wasted potential, but The Sexy Brutale is a solid, original and fun game that's definitely worth your time.

A mindless, turgid and tedious slog with horrible gameplay and zero depth. A travesty to the Ghostbusters name. Avoid at all costs!

I can see right ideas, but ultimately the Last Frontier feels like a demo for greater things to come, the apes behave like the actual movie versions but lacks the needed detail. In a nutshell, a good experience is deep inside the game but final results needed more cooking in the oven.

Despite a few new ideas and sublime soundtrack, I cannot for recommend picking up Sonic Forces on any platform until a low bargain bin sale. It's just embarrassing the iconic character hasn't been given the right treatment in his next generation debut, perhaps 3D sonic games are over? Or the franchise needs to stay buried.

This DLC had a few good moments but it wasn't really all that fun to play. The game is best for people who just really would like some more backstory or insight, but those who could do without that or isn't a huge fan of the original should probably pass.

LEGO DC Super-Villains might not deviate much from the already successful formula but adds enough content to justify the price tag. Characters are plentiful and allow for tons of replayability in the end. I look forward to the series future, despite this game feel too similar. .inpostad { width: 300px; height: 250px; } Story continues below (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Life is Strange 2 - Episode 1 feels like a more mature and well thought-out successor to the original. Excelling in slower paced storytelling, open level design which boosts immersion.

The sequel is a total mixed bag, filled with odd design choices and pointless campaign race that don't match the tone.

Steep: Road to the Olympics brings enough to the table for the price and should tide fans over until the next snowboarding title. The expansion is a solid little Christmas stocking filler for people needing a taste of the iconic Winter Games, without the real dangers and costs.

I finished Hellblade: Senua Sacrifice with the biggest smile on my face, as the story and world engrossed me with vivid imagery for years to come. Understanding Senua's mental state, was great. I want more of the creepy storyline and that is a win in my book. It feels like a game handcrafted with care, as each sound and motion captured element propels the story forward.

A few neat ideas a sprinkled throughout the latter half of Star Wars: Battlefront II with the story being competent in going through famous areas in the universe, the game is solid at the core but the needless microtransactions and terrible locked content keep it from being outstanding. I wanted to love it but left feeling used and abused despite fun times had

A polished entry into a crowded market. Innovative but not inventive, it will be appealing to Elder Scrolls fans. For everyone else it may not appeal as much as other games in the genre.
