Whether this game gets a recommendation or not comes down to specific criteria. If you own the originals, there aren’t enough reasons to justify buying Metro Redux, but new players to the series will find a lot to love here. Personally, I’d stick with the original Metro 2033, but follow up with Metro Last Light Redux, which may sound odd, but they are what I believe to be the best version of each game. A well put together package, but one I’d hesitate to call definitive.
Fairy Fencer F has what you might call a "casual filter" on it, something designed to turn away the vast majority of the gaming populace. However, this can also be seen as the real-deal, something made by and for fans of the genre. Those willing to take on the challenge will be treated to a fanciful world of fairies, fencers, furies, and full-on JRPG action.
I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute I've spent exploring the Destiny universe – with the exception of Grand Theft Auto V, there hasn't been a game in years that's become my first thought of the day and my last before I sleep. There's holes, weak points, key ingredients missing, but Destiny has gripped me in a way I cannot explain.
As I stated above the game is very unforgiving at times and that will be a huge turn off to some players. Still if you like tactical RPGs and a good challenge you will enjoy this game. If you are more of a run and gun player this one should be avoided.
The two things stated above do not change the fact that Shadow Of Mordor is amazing game that should be played by any action game fan. While it certainly needs a few tweaks to be a perfect game it has a legitimate shot at game of the year. The journey is well worth taking and you will not regret playing Middle-earth Shadow Of Mordor.
The Legend of Korra game simply does not reach the pedigree of its protege. There are some redeeming features to be found, but the game still has a number of issues that keep it from greatness.
Ultimately Assassin’s Creed Rogue doesn’t add much to the table but it does polish some of the thing from Black Flag. If you enjoyed Black Flag you will enjoy this game. I haven’t played Unity so I can’t compare but this game is one worth picking up.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the best looking title I’ve played on the PlayStation 4 to date, and a bloody good one at that. Worth every penny.
Is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare more of the same? It depends on how you look at it. Those who are burnt out on the series won’t be magically converted to the church of Call of Duty with this game, but those who are loyal to the series will no doubt enjoy the new tweaks the future has in store.
The decisions that you make and the situations that you are put in provide a pretty eye-opening experience, but the effect wears off. This War of Mine might not be one of the best games of the century, but is definitely one of the strongest games to ever be released on a mobile platform.
It blew me away how invested I had become in a pinball. While the story might not be the most epic thing that you've ever played, Rollers of the Realm is definitely worth a shot.
Far Cry 4 builds on the features of the Far Cry franchise and remains true to the quality of storytelling, delivery of mechanics and awe of the environment that we’ve come to expect. A Game of the Year contender without a doubt but the franchise will need a little freshening up with its next installment.
WWE 2K15 had the opportunity to build and improve on the failures of its predecessor but instead forged its own legacy of disappointment and frustration. A great looking package that lacks substance and conviction.
If you are a die hard racing fan with some friends who are playing this you MIGHT enjoy The Crew. Sadly though this is a classic case of biting off more than you can chew. The idea was great but they needed more time to polish up and add things to it. This road trip is one you can skip out on.
Resident Evil HD is a remake done right. Rather than bend over backwards to please a new generation of gamers, it proudly sticks by its roots and is better because of it. Those looking to try something "new" should look to the past with this spot-on remaster.
Those looking for an homage to the arcade vertical shoot-em-ups of the 80s and 90s will find a lot to like in Super Galaxy Squadron. It might not reach the lofty heights of its inspiration, but it is still a solid title for those looking to flex their itchy trigger fingers.
Sometimes these remasters don’t go over to well but I think this one is a winner. Overall this game is still solid and if you haven’t played as a super powered Saint yet you really should.
Overall your stay in Hell will only last about 3-4 hours unless you want to do all of the side content. It's a short stay but definitely a decent one. I think this game is worth a pick up if you are a Saints Row or Johnny Gat fan.
Life is Strange is full of so much squandered potential. What could have been a great coming-of-age tale is hindered by bad writing, characters, set pieces, and gameplay. Those willing to give it a shot are better off playing better-executed cinematic titles like The Walking Dead or Heavy Rain.
Dying Light is a solid game with a great foundation. The integration of parkour works well and I never really found myself complaining about running around the streets. The combat is hard, especially for beginners, but ultimately it's pretty satisfying getting a slow-motion kill by chopping a zombies head or limb off. There's definitely room for improvement but this is definitely a game that you should pick up if you've been thinking about it.
