9 / 10.0 - Lost Judgment
Sep 16, 2021

‎Lost Judgment is the best work without discussion by Toshihiro Nagoshi. What began with Shenmue and Yakuza takes on special importance in a delivery that polishes all the details to become something very special whose criticism and argument will conquer your complicity as a player.‎

8 / 10.0 - Deathloop
Sep 13, 2021

Those of us who love to get into the game, learn more about its world and eavesdrop, read emails on terminals and rack our brains to get into places without being shot at, are in luck: with Deathloop we have a great game for a while.

7 / 10.0 - Lost in Random
Sep 10, 2021

‎Lost in Random is a title of adventure and brave action, which constantly seeks its own form of expression as far as the action is concerned, and that along the way accumulates many successes and some other but. It presents a dark and interesting universe, which constantly flirts with humor and children's terror, achieving a tone that will delight fantasy lovers. He compensates for his lack of finesse in combat with the riskiness of his proposal and with some dialogues that will bring you more than a smile.‎

8 / 10.0 - Tales of Arise
Sep 8, 2021

Tales of Arise comes to prove that the series still has a lot to say. At a time when fans of the genre are in for a treat, Bandai Namco has decided to join the party and offer us one of the best instalments of the franchise. A perfect entry into the franchise, with an interesting story, charismatic characters, beautiful artwork and a combat system that's as accessible as it is deep. It takes a while to get going, but when it does, it's hard to put the controller down before starting the next dungeon.

Life is Strange: True Colors is a game that constantly aims higher, but never really takes off. Neither the power, nor the story, nor the environment are up to its greatest virtue, which is none other than Alex Chen, its main character. The good ideas are weighed down by the timidity of a game that does not end up betting on its own proposals. There are things to rescue, it has a good rhythm, and it is easy to get into, but it is within the best instalments of the franchise.

7 / 10.0 - Clid the Snail
Sep 3, 2021

Clid The Snail has been a real surprise for me. It is impossible to overlook the incredible work that Weird Beluga Studio has done, the care and dedication they have put into every aspect of the game. They have built a very beautiful and detailed world, despite the fact that we spend 90% of the time shooting and looking at enemies. The story features original characters and dialogue that will bring a smile to our faces. And the gameplay is diabolical: I haven't had this much fun shooting things since 2016's DOOM and I haven't felt so on the ropes since Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

Sonic Colours: Ultimate varies the traditional gameplay with new mechanics that will delight younger players. The new mechanics and a few moments make it an interesting but somewhat accessible Sonic for veterans.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is an online co-operative action title that exudes love for the franchise on which it is based, that doesn't aspire to revolutionise anything and that has, in its simplicity, its main virtues and defects. As accessible and satisfying as it is repetitive. A perfect videogame to enjoy in company. Immediate fun that will also delight fans of the second film installment of the franchise. A pity it doesn't take more risks and is so predictable in almost everything it does.

8 / 10.0 - 12 Minutes
Aug 23, 2021

‎12 Minutes is a statement of intent on the part of Luis Antonio, a video game that elevates him as a designer, and places him on the map after having gone through Rockstar Games and having participated in projects as disparate as The Witness or What Remains of Edith Finch. Now, he puts on the table his particular vision of graphic adventure, with a video game that exudes a love for textual enigma, cinema and mystery. A title that, at most, can take you a couple of afternoons, but that will leave a great taste in your mouth and, quite possibly, the brains smoky.‎

9 / 10.0 - Psychonauts 2
Aug 23, 2021

‎Psychonauts 2 is one of the most personal and special games I've played in a long time. The best work of a company with great works led by a Tim Schafer who invests everything learned in his ten years working at LucasArts and his twenty years at Double Fine to sign his best work as a writer and developer.‎

Aug 16, 2021

Inglés (EE.UU.) Road 96 becomes, thanks to its fine writing and its ability to make you think and reflect, one of the best independent video games of 2021. An excellent journey of encounters with your ideals and, above all, with those of others. 9 / 10.0 - Humankind
Aug 16, 2021

‎Humankind has been a surprise, a title of strategy and management by turns that has not only met the expectations generated, but, in my opinion, has exceeded them. The work of Amplitude enjoys a balance between depth and accessibility difficult to find, a proposal capable of hooking at least ducho in this type of video games and to satisfy the needs of the experienced player. A design that, in addition, comes accompanied by a large audiovisual section and an exemplary documentation work.‎

A more than pleasant surprise. A first episode with its own identity that kicks off Horror Tales. Juicy story, outstanding technical section and a capacity to produce terror and anxiety in the player very difficult to find in the market.

‎Samurai Warriors 5 brings us back the Japanese feudalism passed through the filter of anime and combined with some of what Omega Force learned in its approaches to other franchises. A musou for musou fans that emphasizes the story and strives to provide it with interesting characters and a rich background, but that falls short when it comes to reinterpreting the use of its characters. Those who know what the story is about will feel right at home, the rest, go carefully.‎

‎An exemplary remaster that includes two great graphic novels that make up an entire story arc. The best judgments of the video game scene return and they do it with two unpublished titles in our territory. The Great Ace Attroney Chronicles takes us to Victorian England to talk about crimes, corruption, legislation and many other topics dealt with through the prism of western romanticization that the anime performs from Japan. Being somewhat less redundant and more direct would have been wonderful and would have reduced the number of hours needed to complete it. Even so, if you are able to jump the language barrier, you will come up against a different video game full of humor and second readings.‎

NEO: The World Ends With You is the sequel that fans of the original game have been waiting for. However, being so continuist in its combat and exploration system makes it feel like a game out of time, which could have done much better with a deeper revamp. Losing the Nintendo DS touch screen also hurts its combat. Its beauty and visual personality at all times, along with a colorful story and characters, will make you fall in love and always want to know more.

8 / 10.0 - Death's Door
Jul 21, 2021

Death's Door is one of the indie surprises of the year. Very well designed, melancholic and challenging, without being difficult. It knows how to transfer the essence of games like Dark Souls and Zelda in a delicious isometric perspective, with well-designed puzzles and a very well measured combat. Acid Nerve has done its homework.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is the return of a title that celebrates a decade but that is an example of the good work that occurs in the most careful Nintendo. A review of the classic formula of the saga read and executed through the prism of motion control, and a lesson in design that offers good palaces, a succession of puzzles very well measured that ends at the top, one of the most worked stories of the series, a spectacular soundtrack and a unique combat system. A revision to the height that updates with success what is already a classic of the franchise.

8 / 10.0 - F1 2021
Jul 12, 2021

An excellent game on the track that presents Braking Point, its story mode, as a great novelty, and becomes the worst section of the whole title. If the idea is to keep this new mode, there is a lot of work to do. At the moment, it tastes like a precooked story, made in a hurry and without affection. Nothing to do with the rest of the proposals, which introduce us fully in the F1 world. If you come for the races, it is a spectacular videogame, but if you come for the story mode, be cautious.

Expand and improve what was seen in the first installment, with greater visual maturity and small modifications in battles. Extremely deep, its superb turn-based combat and depth will hook you if you are able to get into its replay and egg collection dynamic.
