9.5 / 10.0 - Stardew Valley
Jul 17, 2017

All in all this is an amazingly fun little game - yes, some stuff can get repetitive, however, there is enough content to always find something to do. They could further improve the game by expanding on the friendship and family system, however, for the content available in the game coupled with its relatively low price point, it can offer potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay that you can easily get lost in.

9.5 / 10.0 - Nioh
Mar 22, 2017

Nioh does a lot right, and whilst it's obvious it takes a lot of inspiration from the Souls series, it really does feel like a game of its own. That being said, Nioh filled a gap in my heart of tough but rewarding gameplay whilst I wait for the latest Dark Souls DLC to come out, and I'm also confident that Nioh is a game I will keep coming back to for a long time. If you have a Playstation 4, I will happily go on record with saying that Nioh is an essential game for your library, the stunning visuals, gripping story, and solid gameplay makes the game stand out from a lot of the competition. Whilst I do say it deserves to be merited on its own achievements, for me, it is the game that came closest to encapsulating the feel of the Souls series and Bloodborne, and feels so much more polished than games like Lords of the Fallen. As it stands, Nioh could well be my game of the year.

he Hot Wheels expansion goes against everything we have come to know and love about Forza Horizon, yet was a complete blast! The unforgiving and extremely fast paced nature of this expansion brings a massive change of pace from the main game and it works brilliantly for the most part. The cars and tracks are a critical hit to the nostalgia of anyone who played with Hot Wheels in their youth - and the modifications available to these cars are as good as we have come to expect from Forza!

Despite a few bad things, the good is definitely overflowing here – this is probably my second favourite open world RPG this generation, only behind Witcher 3. I give this game a solid 9/10 – a good chunk of that missing point is down to the Colourblind mode as I honestly wouldn’t have been able to play through some of it on my own due to this!

While the abundance of content overwhelms and impresses me, with a lot of it being really well polished I find it almost impossible to dislike this game. But that doesn't mean to say it's a perfect game, it has a lot of glaring flaws such as poor combat and lots of frustrating moments that break the immersion. All in all I highly recommend this game, as even with all the cons I found, I still found myself really enjoying almost every second of it and wanting to keep going. It's an astounding game but it doesn't give me the feeling that it's a Zelda game. It holds up really well, but after about 30 hours in the cracks do begin to show, but the game manages to keep holding itself together, something a lot of games fail to do. All in all it's a great game and I'm loving it, it was worth the £60 price tag. It's not the best Zelda game (I'd give that to Wind Waker) nor is it my favourite (Link's Awakening) but it took an ambitious leap and did a great job of it for the most part.

8.5 / 10.0 - Bohemian Killing
Apr 10, 2017

For an indie game at a low price point (currently £9.99 on steam), this game has immense value for money. Even if you just play it the once I personally believe you will get your money’s worth out Bohemian Killing. Some of the game has almost AAA title like qualities and this mixed with the unique story and gameplay style definitely makes it easy for me to recommend this game.

To enjoy Blizzard Mountain to the full, you must be a fan of off-road racing, as this expansion definitely favours this specific play style. If you are not keen on off-roading and love your fast cars on long roads - I would personally advise skipping this expansion. However, if you do love off-road cars, driving through uneven terrain and tearing it up without caring about where the roads are - this is a fantastic little expansion that has many hours of fun to give you.

80 / 100 - FIFA 19
Jul 30, 2019

All in all, I legitimately liked the game more than I expected - and it gives me another game I'm able to play with my toddler. While I wont be rushing out to buy 2020 version of the game, I may actually consider picking it up if I see it at a good price, where as previously this is not something I would have ever considered at all. However, at the end of the day - this is a game aimed towards a specific market, and unless you are a part of that market, it isn't a game I would necessarily recommend to purchase.

Seriously, I wanted to love this game. I wanted to give it a massive ten out of ten and sing its praises all the way, however, it appears Bioware had as many issues making this game as the pathfinder's crew had in the Andromeda Galaxy. It's far from being a bad game, but it's certainly not a high contender for game of the year.

All in all, this was a lovely little game. It's not a long one mind you, you can 100% all the worlds in less than 10 hours - however, it will certainly be an entertaining ten hours, ESPECIALLY if you were a fan of 90's 3D platformers! And at the low price point of this game it is certainly one to check out!

At the end of the day, it does what it says, it's a Warriors game, and it does it as well as most of the other games do. It's nothing spectacular, but it is good mindless fun.

This could have been one of the best open world shooter games of this generation, however, due to the driving, your squads AI and the repetitiveness - it missed the mark by quite a bit.

4.5 / 10.0 - Cooking Witch

It feels and plays too much like a game that belongs either in the App store or Miniclip. It's a very simplistic game, that is good to pass a few minutes with, but not (in my honest opinion) worth purchasing.
