7.7 / 10.0 - The Alliance Alive
Apr 5, 2018

A solid JRPG experience by FuRyu, The Alliance Alive is a reminder that the Nintendo 3DS still has lots to offer as a platform even after the Nintendo Switch launch. Although the game is very traditional in its mechanics, it's still fun to play with an efficient and rewarding progression system.

Attack of the Earthlings is terrific indie strategy title that pushes you to be careful and manage your turns and resources. It’s morbid and overly violent at times, but it’s surprisingly clever and charming at the same time, and you get the sense that it has a lot to say.

7.7 / 10.0 - Gear.Club Unlimited
Nov 20, 2017

Gear.Club Unlimited is a worthy racing game pick for the Nintendo Switch, and a great comeback of veteran studio Eden Games. While you should expect a title as demanding visually as Forza, the game is a perfect balance of both arcade and racing simulations, with a wealth of content that will keep you busy for a long time.

SEVEN: The Days Long Gone is a great title hampered by some poor design decisions. However, its greatness still shines through, and if you’re willing to be a little patient, it offers a really solid isometric adventure that’ll offer you a ton of different ways to carry out goals.

7.7 / 10.0 - WWE 2K18
Oct 28, 2017

Like its predecessor, WWE 2K18 clearly shows the desire to do the best wrestling game there is, but the end result starts to show the limitations of an annual franchise in terms of technicality and innovation.

7.7 / 10.0 - Phantom Trigger
Aug 22, 2017

Phantom Trigger is a nice surprise, and it's nice to have this style of play on a Nintendo Switch. Might not be perfect, but with that easy price tag, it's worth the try.

7.7 / 10.0 - DeadCore
Aug 3, 2017

DeadCore is a great FPS platformer, perfectly created for speedruners, but also fans of Valve's Portal series and similar puzzle games. Pick it up now on console or PC at a cheap price.

If you played the first compilation, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 brings no surprises and that's great. This collection includes Mega Man 7 to 10, catering obviously to fans of the blue robot, with added challenges but might be too difficult for newcomers.

7.7 / 10.0 - Impact Winter
Jun 4, 2017

Impact Winter does some great things with the survival formula, and its focus on cooperation really forces you to think twice about your actions, but its technical issues on PC mean you’ll have to wait for some patches to get things in working order

7.7 / 10.0 - Demon's Crystals
Jul 13, 2017

While it’s by no means a bad shooter, Demon’s Crystals doesn’t have much to offer to help it stand out from the pack. Its lack of content and somewhat repetitive nature make it a more ideal recommendation for shooter fans looking for a nice arcade shooter on sale

7.7 / 10.0 - Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares might have a striking artistic direction and a dark story to tell, but it's lacking originality by looking too much like PlayDead's INSIDE.

7.7 / 10.0 - DiRT 4
Jun 26, 2017

Despite an average graphical game, DiRT 4 is still a great off-road racing experience, with great playing sensations and a real attention to details. Some will reproach it with too easy gameplay, but it is obvious that this DiRT 4 was made to appeal to everyone, unlike the previous games, dedicated exclusively to the hardcore fans of the franchise.

7.7 / 10.0 - Beholder
Feb 11, 2017

While its mechanics can be a little finicky, Beholder is a simple game that ends up immersing you in the life of an informant in a totalitarian state, and it’ll no doubt make you develop a fascination with the lives of others. As you juggle your desire to be a good person with your desire to stay out of prison or an early grave, Beholder will force you to make some heavy choices

7.7 / 10.0 - EARTHLOCK
Mar 22, 2018

Now available on Nintendo Switch, Earthlock: Festival of Magic is neither a good nor a bad game, but still a rather solid effort from Snowcastle Games to create a unique JRPG influenced by the 1990s titles in the genre.

7.7 / 10.0 - Syberia 3
May 1, 2017

While Syberia 3 is a great way for newcomers to explore the unique world of Syberia, a wealth of technical issues prevent this promising adventure game from really shining. We hope future patches can take care of it, because the story at the core of Syberia is just as engaging as ever, and while its puzzles aren’t that tricky, it’s got a story worth telling.

7.7 / 10.0 - Dead by Daylight
Jul 3, 2017

Dead by Daylight is not a game that had big budgets to back it up, so not being perfect is understandable, however we do not see any excuse on not fixing the mistakes they faced on PC before the release of the console version. But to be fair, the game is highly entertaining specially if all your friends are in the same lobby playing both factions. We have hopes for the future of the game as we can see the developers are already working on new content.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is a decent title which succeeds in what CI Games were aiming to do for the franchise. While it doesn't feel like a AAA title, with a long range of technical problems, the game is still above average, offering an decent adventure in an original Georgian setting, with lot of elements inspired by other large-scale open world shooter games. At least with this episode, CI Games has a decent formula that will probably get enhanced in its fourth sequel.

7.7 / 10.0 - The Last Guardian
Dec 21, 2016

Petrified with good intentions, The Last Guardian could have brought a breath of fresh air among this end of year's releases. Carrying the player into a dreamlike, mysterious and fascinating universe, Ueda's latest title is a minimalist gameplay, but ample enough to support its purpose, thanks to its intoxicating mood and a fabulous soundtrack. But all is not perfect, and technical issues arise especially on the normal PlayStation 4 (in comparison to the PRO), with a game engine that seems to lack optimization for the only console it supports. After ten year, I expected a gust of poetry, but we ended up getting just a breeze of lightness and originality.

An interesting tale honoring the culture and myths of the Tarahumara tribe, Mulaka is a charming action adventure game that is worth the try.

A surprisingly fresh take on licensed anime games, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet manages to get more creative by offering you a fresh character rather than one of the series mains, and it carves out a fairly decent story within the canon. The gunplay is solid, but be prepared to grind and patiently wade through some of the slower sections
