9 / 10.0 - Sunset Overdrive
Nov 10, 2014

Insomniac Games has made some amazing games ranging from Ratchet and Clank to Resistance but Sunset Overdrive is their best game to date. It’s such a special game and is currently the best game you can get for next-gen hardware. It’s a profanity laced, joyride from start to finish. From guns, to visual effects everything about Sunset City is fun, but just remember, its your Awesomepocalypse.

9.7 / 10.0 - Bayonetta 2
Nov 12, 2014

I am fighting a Lumen Sage inside the stomach of a massive demon stingray named Insidious. Seems odd right? Wrong. This is the world that Bayonetta 2 cultivates. Non-stop action with over the top set-pieces. Inside this world of madness, Bayonetta 2 sets itself apart as one of the greatest action games of all time and the new gold, or should I say platinum, standard for hack and slash.

Halo 5: Guardians isn’t without its flaws, but its still an amazing game. The faults of the campaign are made up for ten fold with the great multiplayer and new gameplay improvements.

8 / 10.0 - Quantum Break
Apr 10, 2016

Quantum Break is a unique experience and one that I intend to experience again. The game takes a chance in its storytelling with the television show. While not everything in the game may land, in this day and age, seeing a AAA game take a gamble is refreshing in and of itself. Any gamer who appreciates a time travel story would do themselves a disservice in missing this game.

10 / 10.0 - Ratchet & Clank
Apr 16, 2016

Ratchet & Clank is simply the best exclusive PlayStation has to offer. It’s graphics and charm are unmatched by any game I’ve played in the last couple of years. Insomniac has outdone themselves and brought back one of the most beloved PlayStation icons. This game is a masterpiece and a must play for all PS4 owners.

6.5 / 10.0 - Star Fox Zero
May 1, 2016

While Star Fox Zero is brimming with nostalgia and has a lot of redeeming qualities, tons of forced in content and motion controls spoil the game.

Uncharted 4 is the high point of the Uncharted series delivering an engrossing story, fleshed out characters, brilliant gameplay and jaw-dropping graphics. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a brilliant blockbuster masterpiece that brings a satisfying end to all of the characters that we have grown familiar with over the years. It’s truly a fitting end for a thief.

9 / 10.0 - Doom
May 28, 2016

DOOM is a glorious return to form for the franchise. The game oozes classic design while improving itself with new-gen hardware. Exciting combat, glorious kills and enough heavy metal to give you lead poisoning, demons beware! Doom guy has returned!

5 / 10.0 - Mighty No. 9
Jul 2, 2016

Mighty No. 9 may be one of the most disappointing games I’ve ever played. At the start, we were promised a spiritual successor to Mega Man and we didn’t get that. Gameplay wise, Mighty No. 9 isn’t a bad game, it’s just muddled down with bad design, poor characters, and other technical issues.

8 / 10.0 - For Honor
Feb 17, 2017

As a child, I always grew up fantasizing about massive battles with knights or vikings, heck even samurais so when I first saw For Honor back at the Ubisoft E3 conference it felt like my dreams were coming true. Ubisoft Montreal was crafting a game that I used to imagine as a child when I was playing with my action figures growing up.

7.5 / 10.0 - Dead Rising 4
Feb 17, 2017

In its attempt to draw in a casual audience, Dead Rising may alienate series veterans. While I love the direction the series is taking, I fully understand the sentiment. For those willing to accept Dead Rising 4 for what it is, they will find an over the top zombie-slaying power fantasy that leaves a few presents under your tree.

6.5 / 10.0 - Ghost Blade HD
Mar 17, 2017

Ghost Blade HD mostly accomplishes what it sets out to do. It provides a bullet-hell arcade shooter, with leaderboards to chase. The awesome 90’s effects and focus fire gameplay are undermined by a slight lack of difficulty and effective power-up system.

7 / 10.0 - 88 Heroes
Mar 20, 2017

While 88 heroes does stand out from other 2D platformers with the variety of characters that are playable, it does fall short from standing out from other great 2D platformers.
