Red Value Gaming's Reviews

40 / 100 - AereA
Jun 1, 2017

While the game has a gorgeous artstyle and follows music and instruments thematically, it has many issues. The game is slow and a lot of its playtime seems to be made up of backtracking and repetitive content. Unless you are looking for something slow and simple to play couch-coop with, you might want to skip the game at its current form this time.

While the base gameplay of the title is solid and great, the lack of variety really hurts it. This is especially upsetting as the game is highly polished in virtually every single aspect. With a few improvements, the game could really be something very unique and special. Since the base gameplay is solid, you might find to enjoy it if you play it for shorter section. Are you entertained by goofy humour and are looking for something low-stress to play inbetween sessions? You might find this title to be quite interesting.

Need for Speed is a great option for someone looking for a casual racing game. If you want to have the ultimate racing experience though, you are better off looking elsewhere.

Lego City Undercover is a very fun game that keeps its gameplay very simple. We can recommend this game to anyone who recently started playing video games, to parents to play with their kids or to more serious gamers, who want something relaxing to play during some inbetween sessions.

While we will probably remember other games released around this time more, we can recommend people to play through it once, possibly during summer when you have a good couple of hours to kill and the game has gone on sale.

While still decent, the expansion to Breath of the Wild doesn't hit the same tune that the base game did.

World to the West lets you explore a cell-shaded world that feels alive. It is filled with great observational puzzles and features a great atmosphere with a nice ambient soundtrack. The combat could have been better implemented, but if you like a relaxed and laid back experience, this game may just peak your interest.

80 / 100 - Human: Fall Flat
Dec 22, 2017

The port of Human Fall Flat to the Nintendo Switch is ok but far from great. The game is definitely a worthwhile play if you like phyics-based puzzles, but maybe pick it up on a light discount.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole is a good game, but fails at living up to the expectations set by its predecessor The Stick of Truth. Unfortunately, the gameplay was padded so much with filler that it killed the pacing. In Ubisoft's desire to make a Triple-A blockbuster, they instead weakened something that could've been a Double-A masterpiece.

80 / 100 - Gears of War 4

"Gears of War 4" is one of the best cover shooter experiences around and provides an interesting story with gorgeous visuals. The elements of this game really show off the strength of Triple-A titles.

81 / 100 - Gravity Rush 2

While Gravity Rush 2 could have improved much more compared to the first game of the series, it successfully expands on the formula by adding a lot more content. It is a great deal for any fan that just wants more of the original.
