7 / 10.0 - The Persistence
Jul 31, 2018

Talking to anyone about The Persistence is sure to almost always include comparisons to games like Resident Evil 7 and Dead Space, though it's easy to see how these comparisons exist The Persistence is really doing something completely different. With Sci-Fi. Horror and Rogue-Like characteristics all rolled into one neat little package it's hard to make any real direct comparisons to any of these games.

8 / 10.0 - Dead Cells
Aug 6, 2018

Drawing from numerous inspirations, Dead Cells presents refreshing and new ideas from mixing established genres. Though these ideas on their own can be unique and interesting, they don’t always mix together well and are set back by a huge difficulty spike.

7.5 / 10.0 - Flipping Death
Aug 7, 2018

Penny is a over-the-top goth wannabee that gets a little too zealous about Halloween and is fired from her funeral home job. She then goes to hang out with her boyfriend in a cemetery before falling through a crypt, bashing her body on a rock, and dies - thereby meeting Death himself. Badly in need of a vacation, Death mistakes Penny for his replacement and she becomes the harbinger of doom, helping dead folks get settled into their newfound lives.

7.5 / 10.0 - We Happy Few
Aug 13, 2018

Fans of walking simulators and story driven games will find a lot to love here. While some of the systems in the game are rather intricate they tend to be unnecessary and even tedious at times, making the gameplay and puzzles overall drab and boring. With such a mixed bag of elements it’s hard to recommend We Happy Few to anyone that isn’t up for a long game that is story based.

8 / 10.0 - Graveyard Keeper
Aug 15, 2018

This game appeals to all who find they have an inclination for existential and pessimistic morbidity, though they want to keep it lighthearted. In addition to being a fun play on death and what that entails, this game also begins to describe issues involving faith, trust, community, ethics, and politics. We highly suggest everyone to play this game and see if it sticks with you as much as it did for us.

7 / 10.0 - Fall of Light
Aug 20, 2018

Though Fall of Light does little to evolve the genres that the game falls into, fans of the Souls and Diablo series will find a lot to love here. While it’s not a bad game it is somewhat forgettable.

6 / 10.0 - HYPERGUN
Aug 23, 2018

There is a lot to like about HYPERGUN. While the distinct visuals and sound track only run skin deep, there is a real excitement and allure of unlocking rare weapon attachments and it did help me to push through the more frustrating aspects of the game.

For any long time Marvel fan, the sheer experience of being able to step into the shoes of your favorite heroes will be an amazing feeling. It’s clear that a lot of care and consideration went in to making you feel immersed as the character. Sadly, the incredible feeling of being a super hero is weighed down by repetitive and imbalanced gameplay.
