7.5 / 10.0 - Dark Deity
Sep 17, 2021

Dark Diety is a good budget Fire Emblem-like game. Though the graphics might not be as good, and the story may not be as well written, the game is still worth playing. It gives the same atmosphere as Fire Emblem and the Langrisser series did and features almost the same gameplay. I do wish there was a bit more to combat options and story detail but for the price, this game gives you so much more than its cost.

Overall, this was not an overly impressive puzzle game. It’s cute and bubbly, offers some fantastic ranges in colors but doesn’t offer quite the range when it comes to playing the game.

I loved playing this game! From the story to the mechanics, everything was set up perfectly to keep you asking for more. You can purchase the game to play today for $14.99 on any of the systems mentioned above.

Will you upgrade your city and have it rustling and bustling with business? Or will you crumble like the old uncared for bricks? Take your time in this game, as one wrong building could affect the entirety of the neighborhood. You know what they say, good neighbors make for great neighborhoods.

Overall this game offered a fun little story that expanded and continues on from its predecessor ‘Vaporum‘. The dark environment of the game works well with where the random enemies sprout from. The only thing that really bothered me with this game, is that there were random holes in the wall or pitfalls with spikes at the bottom that really didn’t have anything to do with the rest of the game. An easy fix for this would have been instead of spikes, putting unused electricity or overused batteries that spark and electrocute.

This was an amazing Indie Dev Puzzle Horror Game. One of the best I’ve played on the Nintendo Switch.

Really, you’ll get more mileage out of the game if you’re a fan of the series. Freakpocalypse makes it clear from the start that it’s not for everyone, and some may not even see it through to its end depending on how much you can stomach. But the development team stayed loyal to the comic’s material, and there are some good moments – and laughs – to take in here if you can weather the storm. Plus, honestly, we have to support point-and-click games as much as we can if we want to see them make a comeback. Even if we have to put up with a Freakpocalypse to get there.

7 / 10 - Pumpkin Jack
Mar 16, 2021

Pumpkin Jack is a hidden gem that I cannot push enough to players looking for a fun, short platforming adventure to experience. I honestly was not expecting much from this game going into it, but it ended up surprising me in more ways than one. This game brought on so many feelings with the art style, the music, and the incredibly Nightmare Before Christmas-like feeling. It is in my opinion that this developer has a bright future ahead of him from the incredible amount of work put into this game.

7 / 10 - Valheim

Honestly, this game works as intended. It has hiccups as all early-release games do and its main hiccup is the server search/multiplayer aspect of it. Personally, I haven’t had many issues with multiplayer, even on multiple LAN connections. This game has been beautiful, time-consuming, and a lot of fun with my friends. For $20 you can’t go wrong.

Layers of Fear 2 is an amazing psychological thriller game that takes you in-depth of horror history and it’s building blocks. From the visuals to the story, to the sound, Layers of Fear 2 has encompassed that of which makes a horror game, a horror game.

While Freedom Finger isn’t likely to appeal to everyone – its political overtones can be a bit much, along with its difficulty settings – it’s a blast for those that invest. The graphics and audio are really something, the gameplay has tremendous value, and the extra goodies are worth checking out. If anyone gives you any guff over adding this game to your digital library, don’t let it get you down. Just give them the bird.

At the end of the day, The Division 2 is a fun well-polished third-person shooter that really improves on the original concept. The game looks beautiful and plays smoothly, albeit with a few graphical errors at the start of your login. The gameplay can be repetitive and tedious as the game goes on. With that said, it still may not be enough for players who disliked the first game to give the sequel a second chance.

8 / 10 - Worbital
Mar 18, 2019

Worbital is one of those hidden gems on Steam that most people will not find unless they are looking for it. Really, that’s a shame. Its unique blend of RTS and trajectory gameplay provides an experience that most gamers will find challenging…and fun.

9.3 / 10.0 - Devil May Cry 5
Mar 16, 2019

At the end of the day, Devil May Cry 5 is a fantastic game, easily worthy of a couple of awards at this year’s VGAs. The charm of the characters, the fantastic gameplay, and the Sensational sounds make a Stylish game worthy of the Devil May Cry franchise.

10 / 10 - Resident Evil 2
Feb 1, 2019

While the game lacks in more open environments with several sections coming out as just hallways, it still nails it with its bleak tone, fantastic enemies, and groundbreaking characters. In short, Resident Evil 2 is a “must have” for any survival horror fan.

9 / 10 - Bacterium
Jan 6, 2019

I was pleasantly surprised by this title. The idea of destroying diseases at a cellular level makes for a fun and exciting gaming experience. Bacterium combines both the simplicity of a hack n’ slash with the complexity of a nuanced RPG. The ethereal feeling of being within the human body feels claustrophobic, but also seems natural at the same time. This game is an excellent addition to any Steam catalog.

8 / 10 - Fluffy Horde
Dec 15, 2018

Fluffy Horde is a fun and creative title that will challenge you while making you laugh. It is a game that is not meant to be taken seriously, but it does provide a serious challenge. It does have some issues with tenuous gameplay and unit management, but those are only small oversites to the full game.
