Fun to both build and play with, the Nintendo Labo Vehicle Kit is a very unique video gaming experience that is sure to delight kids that are already fans of both construction toys and Nintendo.

Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers is a repetitive, boring disaster of a game, and almost offensive in its disregard for the vibrant characters it's utilising. To suggest that kids would find any degree of enjoyment from this would be a disservice to their intelligence.

Babylon's Fall is a mixed bag with combat mechanics and customisation standing at the forefront of the positives. But the majority of the game just doesn't flow as well as it could’ve with dated graphics, shockingly repetitive gaming loop and expensive microtransactions, Babylon's Fall is a bit of a letdown.

Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for cloud probably isn’t the best way to experience these classic titles, and with its hefty price tag, I would opt for the other versions which aren’t plagued with these needless issues.

But this trilogy is just plagued with so many bugs, glitches and performance issues that really ruin this long-awaited comeback. Fans will have to wait in hope that any patches that are being planned happen right away.

WTAE is a prime example of the latter. With its phoned-in stealth, mediocre combat, poor storytelling and rough presentation, calling it a missed opportunity is an understatement, especially on a new generation console. Even die-hard fans of the tabletop game will likely struggle to enjoy this take on the franchise. There's a blueprint here for an interesting concept, but sadly nothing more. Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is out now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One and PC (via the Epic Games Store), priced £34.99 - £44.99

Fear Effect Sedna is one of those games that were I not reviewing it, I'd have stopped playing very early on. Its few redeeming qualities actually fail to redeem it at all; it's simply not a very good video game, one that could only be satisfactory to the most eager of Fear Effect fans. For everyone else, it's impossible to recommend.

It's obvious that Wako Games have tried to roll back the clock and provide players with a 'classic' arcade experience in a modern age. Yet the time of the arcade is long gone and the beat-em-up cannot survive on the basic formula.

The game is in desperate need of some tender loving care, its shoddy gameplay and connection woes take away almost everything that's unique and actually entertaining about it. From social media comments I see that the developers are looking for ongoing feedback to improve the game and maybe, just maybe, it will flourish. With some amazing concepts and a clever strategic approach to the first-person shooter genre, Dead Alliance had me hooked – it's just a shame that the current final product is a broken mess that should stay dead.

The harsh reality is that I wanted to love it just as much as anyone else. The team is clearly talented and Yooka-Laylee is a work of passion, but it's simply not enough. Yooka-Laylee is simply a chore to play and it relies too heavily on past glories and self-referential humour.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 amps up the core fighting found in its predecessor, but the roster choices are absolutely baffling in this sequel.

Sonic Superstars is a solid attempt at pushing 2D Sonic forward, but sadly its roster of new ideas has some issues. While the problems with the Emerald Powers can be avoided, it'll take major changes to make the multiplayer worth playing. It doesn't quite hit the highs of Sonic Mania, but it's way ahead of Sonic The Hedgehog 4.

AEW: Fight Forever nails what it's going for in evoking Nintendo 64 classics, but neglects a lot of modern features that even wrestling games in the PS2 era were nailing. If you're an AEW fan looking for an arcade-y pick up and play wrestling title to fill the void left by AKI's classics to play with some friends then you'll find what you're looking for with Fight Forever. But if you want an wrestling simulator in the vein of WWE games you'll need to wait a while longer.

I hope Mad Head Games gets another chance to build upon these ideas in a future sequel. But for now, as it stands, Scars Above is still a perfectly serviceable and surprisingly challenging shooter primed to indulge Sci-Fi fans.

The extensive depth available within combat is fantastic, allowing players to partake in a thrilling fast-paced experience. It's not all plain sailing as the game feels way too linear with not much exploration available and the recurrence of similar enemies can make combat feel repetitive at times. But Valkyrie Elysium is a great return for the series elevating the overall experience from past games.

Soulstice is filled with fast and furious combat that will please fans and newcomers to the genre. It doesn't really innovate the genre but the developers put a nice twist on existing mechanics. Other than a few issues with the camera, Soulstice is a solid title that maybe plays it a bit too safe.
