4.6 / 10.0 - Agony
Jun 4, 2018

Agony is much more disturbing than horror, some bizarre design choices don't combine well and the majority of players will struggle to find anything of mentionable quality to warrant a purchase. If you just want f***** up, disturbing scenes, then it maybe worth a look, but if you're after any form of entertaining gameplay, you'd be far better looking elsewhere.

5.2 / 10.0 - Polygod
Aug 16, 2018

Polygod isn't a game that I'd find myself revisiting any time soon, ultimately it's just not for me, although there are definitely fans out there who are dying for this type of game and I feel that this will be just the thing that they have been looking for. All in all Polygod isn't a bad game, I do see potential in it, but I feel it has some changes to make before it will reach that potential and truly shine. Just because it's not for me, doesn't mean you won't enjoy it, so please give Polygod a chance before forming any opinions yourself of this game as it can be quite hectic and enjoyable at times.

6.2 / 10.0 - State of Anarchy
Jul 30, 2018

There's an evening or two's entertainment to be had with State of Anarchy. There's just enough to think about in each stage to keep the brain engaged and at the price point (£6.39/ $7.99) I wouldn't begrudge you a purchase for a bit of mindless fun.

6.6 / 10.0 - Hero Defense
Aug 13, 2018

If you're looking for a simple, fun and addictive game to pass some time with then Hero Defense fits right into that category. The game itself isn't overly complex and provides hours of replayability, the story is easily digested and quite humorous at times. Hero Defense is obviously aimed at a younger audience but provides plenty of entertainment regardless of your age.

Twin Robot's Ultimate Edition is great for younger gamers, with a price-point to match, but don't expect much more than easy achievements if you're over 16.

Ninjin struck me as just a little too frantic for its own good. Co-op is good fun and there's certainly plenty to unlock but, at £12.99 this might be just outside impulse buy range for most people.

6.8 / 10.0 - Castaway Paradise
Jul 31, 2018

If you thrive on sim like games and you’re looking for a different game to play from the norm, then Castaway Paradise is for you. It has been quite some time since I thoroughly enjoyed one of these type games and it really brought back some memories from experiences like this in other games. Games like this are always down to how they speak to each individual player. For the low asking price (£8.83 here in the UK), it’s well worth picking up, even if games in this genre aren't usually your thing.

6.8 / 10.0 - Earth Atlantis
May 30, 2018

Earth Atlantis offers the thrills and tension you expect from a side-scrolling bullet-hell shooter, but sadly the lack of longevity you don't always expect.

6.9 / 10.0 - Extinction
Apr 9, 2018

My main gripe with Extinction is its price point. £50 for a title that has all the hall marks of a game developed under a tighter budget seems steep. That said, there is plenty to enjoy here and I’d find it hard not to recommend if you can find a copy at half the price a few months down the line.

Lux Obscura is a unique budget game with cheap frills, It’s possibly one of the better stories behind a match-three puzzler, but it’s unfortunate that it’s going to be the scantly clad, seductive women who will sell the game, not the quality of the battles.

7 / 10.0 - Mothergunship
Aug 3, 2018

It's fast, frantic and fun, but with so many loading screens and conversations to get through, the immersion breaks down leaving a frustrating shooter that's a little overpried.

7 / 10.0 - Earthfall
Jul 24, 2018

Earthfall is quite an enjoyable game which has a lot of potential, once some of the bugs are ironed out and the overall game is improved on, I feel that it will make an excellent game and distinguish itself from others in the crowd. I can’t say I recommend this for everyone, but for those looking to scratch that previously mentioned itch, then I couldn’t recommend it more.

A good enough park builder, but 65 million years behind what we wanted from the developers of Planet Coaster.

While repetitive in nature and presentation, City of Brass is still a fun, unique strategy-action game that provides plenty of key moments.

7.1 / 10.0 - One More Dungeon
Jul 31, 2018

It's hard to criticise any part of One More Dungeon in any meaningful way. I would best describe it as competant in all areas. If you haven't scratched your rogue-like itch in a while then dive right in. Just don't expect too many surprises.

7.2 / 10.0 - Tetra's Escape
Aug 16, 2018

Tetra's Escape is a deceptively tough little puzzler. Currently priced at £3.19 it's more than good for an evening's entertainment. Give it a try.

7.4 / 10.0 - V-Rally 4
Sep 5, 2018

I feel that fans of rally games and fans of the earlier games in the series are going to love this instalment. 2018 has seen quite a few excellent racing games come out and V-Rally 4 is without a doubt one of them. Kylotonn have some solid experience under their belt with racing games and it definitely shows in V-Rally 4. I'd highly recommend racing game fans and of course, rally game fans to pick this game up as it is not one to be missed.

It's a mature title that occasionally confuses itself, guidance, gameplay mechanics and the story sometimes feel a little awkward, but overall it's still very much worth considering.

Aragami is a fun, unique, stealth based action game that pays tribute to how stealth games used to be, it's tricky, challenging and rewarding with graphics and presentation that impress for a small development team. Aragami has its annoyances, but beyond those there's a thoroughly enjoyable stealth system which will reward the patient.
