I would definitely pick up Slime Rancher for a fun time. For those who want a little bit more out of their game, I would say you could try it but the controls and the lack of direct story could be infuriating to some.
Dontnod has crafted an intriguing tale of two brothers that never sticks in one setting for too long, and I’m really looking forward to seeing this relationship between two brothers when Life is Strange 2 continues.
A strong cast of mostly likeable characters reinforce incredibly deep tactical gameplay, and the death system adds a weight of importance in every move.
Too many modern shmups are bullet hell shooters, so it’s refreshing to play one that doesn’t totally flood the screen with bullets at every moment. With decently fun gameplay, easy Achievements/Trophies, and a low price, FullBlast offers just enough bang for your buck.
I personally appreciate that The Gardens Between never came close to overstaying its welcome. Minimalist images between the islands help the player piece together the story, and the game ends with a subtle-yet-powerful scene that made me think about my childhood and the time I spent with friends in the moment.
Sharp HD visuals highlight an incredible tactical RPG. Anyone willing to put in the time should, because Disgaea 1 Complete remains best in class, even 15 years later.
If I could quit my job and spend the next few years playing Divinity: Original Sin II Definitive Edition I would. It is addictive in every aspect. From the customization of your team, to the impressive combat, to the thousands of outcomes in the story, it never gets old.
While not perfect, Pathfinder: Kingmaker does a great job of providing a complex and true to its origin isometric RPG. Newer players to the genre should definitely be wary though as it is so intricate a system with a limited tutorial.
This is an intimate tale of a broken family, and focusing on that story benefits the franchise as a whole greatly.

Borrowing the best elements of the Yakuza franchise – tight and elaborate fighting controls, quirky characterizations and dialogue, eccentric sub-stories, and compelling mini-games – this post-apocalyptic brawler beats up the competition to become the best video game adaptation of the source material so far
It will honestly give you a good laugh, and I know we can all use one of those these days!
Marvel's Spider -Man isn't something you should let swing away.
While it may not bring anything new gameplay-wise to the genre, the unique design and story, amazing soundtrack, challenging combat, hours of enjoyment, and fantastic boss fights make Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition a bonafide winner.
Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption makes dying interesting. The level down system puts a fun twist to the Souls-like action RPG genre
The new levels are pretty good, and anyone who plays a lot of Vermintide 2 will want them. The weekly challenges are decent (though I wish they weren’t restricted to DLC purchasers) and the new textless communication system improves the overall game.
Longtime fans need to get this, but newcomers to the series: this is a perfect entry point. Players get the best that Mega Man has to offer.
There are still some changes that need to be made for the sake of balance, but overall this is an extremely varied multiplayer foray.
Enter the Gungeon is gorgeous and filled with well-tuned, exhilarating gameplay. Although difficult, there are so many possibilities within Enter the Gungeon that it very rarely feels like you're not making progress
It may be a hard subject to discuss in real life, but My Memory Of Us does what it set out to do and is a game the whole family and younger children can be a part of.
The new mechanics of SOULCALIBUR VI don’t overshadow the true refinement done to the series. It’s easy to get lost in slamming buttons, but even easier to want to learn each character’s moves.
