9.5 / 10.0 - Overwatch
May 26, 2016

9.5 / 10.0 - That Dragon, Cancer

Mortal Kombat X continues to launch the game to new heights. I had a blast fighting my way through the game, and I suspect I won't be the only one.

This first episode is a bit dense, particularly for newcomers, but the attention to detail is meticulous and appreciated. Telltale's Game of Thrones manages to capture all the heart-racing moments and sweaty-palmed intensity fans have come to love. This episode sets up a sprawling adventure on the outskirts of the Westeros we know, and need more of immediately.

There's no telling just how many twists and turns will occur, but even casual Borderlands fans will find plenty to like here. This is one of the best first episodes we've seen from Telltale, and quite possibly one of the best episodes of all Telltale's work.
