Destroy All Humans serves as yet another example of how to recreate a beloved classic, without destroying what made it special. If you loved the original game, then everything that captured your originally his here and accounted for. Hopefully, this remake will mark a triumphant return for the series, which in turn would ensure that this weird little freak of a game can maintain its presence within game libraries for years to come. In any case, we welcome more Destroy All Humans.

There’s no doubt that Microsoft Flight Simulator is as outstandingly beautiful as it is realistic. Flying through this digital world offers wonderfully zen experiential tours that’ll last for hours, providing one of gaming’s most remarkable experiences. While as a simulator, it undoubtedly won’t be to everyone’s tastes, if you’ve been craving some socially responsible global tourism and some of the best vistas gaming has to offer, then Microsoft Flight Simulator has you covered.

8.5 / 10.0 - Terraria
Jun 28, 2019

Should you get this game? Yes. 100%. Absolutely. I will say, however, that it’s important to note that Terraria has been hit by the dreaded ‘Switch tax’ and goes for an entire $29.99 on Nintendo’s latest console. While I feel that this version of Terraria is very much worth the $29.99, you can still get it cheaper elsewhere if you’re on a budget or if you don’t own a Switch.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a crowning achievement. As Rockstar’s first game designed from the ground up for this generation, it feels like the “next generation” title we all expected this generation of consoles to offer. It’s huge (it took me five days to play through just the main story in order to write this review) and that’s without the games upcoming online component and it feels like a true extension of what made GTA V a great experience.

8.5 / 10.0 - Devil May Cry 5
Mar 6, 2019

For those looking for a hardcore hack-and-slash with inventive new weapons, amazing bosses, and fantastic characters this is the game you need. While it’s disappointing it took so long to get back here, DMC V is more than worth the wait.

You’ll mash buttons to fight and destroy things, build overly-designed objects and generally just have a laugh. It’s hilarious, entertaining and off-the-walls mental, just like its case. It’s a refinement of what came before, but damn is it entertaining.

8.5 / 10.0 - Tropico 6
Apr 28, 2019

At its core, Tropico 6 doesn’t do much to evolve from its predecessors, especially as it keeps the era system from 5 and brings back the political speeches and work modes from 4. However, that doesn’t mean it should be skipped.

8.5 / 10.0 - Mortal Kombat 11

If it wasn’t for Towers of Time’s reliance on grinding, Mortal Kombat 11 probably would have been my favourite fighter of the generation

8.5 / 10.0 - Team Sonic Racing
Jun 18, 2019

Team Sonic Racing is one of the best kart racers you can get, outside of the obvious Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It’s a brilliant entry in the genre, and a fantastic effort from Sumo Digital. While the exclusion of classic SEGA characters outside of the Sonic franchise is a bit of a let-down, this is the best Sonic racer money can buy.

8.5 / 10.0 - Hypnospace Outlaw

Hypnospace Outlaw offers once of the best point and click puzzle experiences in a long time that lets you think through the puzzles to find your own solution rather than being spoon fed the answers.

A gorgeous and macabre tale that doesn’t shy away from its more fantastical underlying narrative. It’s not a perfect game, it definitely feels rather last-gen in some of its moment-to-moment gameplay, but an unforgettable story and unique mechanics hold it up high.

After four years of development time, Koji Igarashi has created the game that fans have craved for years. It’s a love letter, not so much to Castlevania itself but to the fans that helped him distance from publisher Konami. Ritual of the Night is not a perfect game, but it’s a bloody good game. If you’re craving for a new Metoridvania, or IGA-Vania, then this is definitely a title to put on your shelf… or digital library.

8.5 / 10.0 - Rad
Aug 20, 2019

For those of you who love a challenge, Double Fine’s charming adventure is far from an easy game. With devious bosses, dastardly platforming challenges and that ever-so-engaging roguelike butt-kicking, RAD is another fantastic title coming out of Double Fine.

8.5 / 10.0 - My Friend Pedro
Jun 19, 2019

My Friend Pedro is at the forefront of sidescrolling action. While it will undoubtedly take a while to fully get to grips with its controls, the time investment is worthwhile. As soon as you finish, you’ll be returning to prior levels in an attempt to beat your score. It’s an addicting, adrenaline-fuelled, action-packed adventure that ends just a little bit too soon.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally here, but it ever-so-slightly misses the mark. However, after all's said and done, after worlds have been explored, friends have been made, and keyblades have been wielded – I'm so, so glad it's here.

8 / 10.0 - Hue
Jun 5, 2019

Hue is a short and sweet puzzling adventure. Each puzzle provides a challenge that both builds on previous puzzles as well as providing something new for the player to solve, all the while being aesthetically pleasing on the eyes. It runs fantastically on Switch, but the port is somewhat bare bones. It's still a solid puzzle platformer; great fun for anyone who has a few hours spare.

Horizon Chase Turbo is a successful and worthy nostalgic throwback to old-school arcade racers. If you are looking for an arcade racer then this may be the game for you. The racing action is exhilarating with a huge variety of entertaining game modes, fantastic track design, and a memorable soundtrack. However, overaggressive and irritating AI design at times makes the game more frustrating than enjoyable.

There’s always fun, albeit repetitive fun, to be had. It’s a perfect match for the Nintendo Switch, it’s a match made in Mars.

The Missing is a good game with a unique mechanic (although I too remember Rebellion’s NeverDead) that houses a fantastic and touching story. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a game that will stay with you for years to come.
