Player.it's Reviews

Overall it's a good technical upgrade, slightly lower than the one made by Raven Software for the first Modern Warfare Remastered but still valid and able to bring the title to the current generation standards. Recommended both to those who already loved it a decade ago and to novices.

Masterpiece - DOOM Eternal
Mar 22, 2020

A title filled with violence to the brim that flows fluidly, with FINALLY difficult fights in a landscape of games for softhearts. If you like shooter games and you haven't bought Doom Eternal yet, it can only mean two things: you pee your pants in your sleep or you don't understand anything about video games. Do you need a number ratio? 666/10

3.7 / 10.0 - Curse of Anabelle
Feb 20, 2020

A title that on paper has a meticulous and careful preparation, but that is unsuccessful in the technical realization and in many game design mechanics. Don't get discouraged Rocwise's team, you'll have the chance to correct your mistakes in the next title!

Admittedly, Speaking Simulator is fun, but it doesn't shine as bright as I'd hoped. After the first levels in which we unlock the additional features the game becomes dull and monotonous and above all never goes off the tracks set. The different scenarios proposed to narrate our rise to power are well thought out but do not represent a growing challenge (ok humans are basically stupid) and we'll have to almost commit ourselves to fail a mission and see the various technical failures suffered by the robot. In short, the title lends itself very well to a dull evening with friends or for a light streaming on your channel but once the 10 levels are over it doesn't have a high replayability. It would have been nice to have at least one free mode where we can try to create our speeches or maybe more options to choose from during the levels.

Terminator: Resistance fails to save the tie-in production related to the James Cameron saga. Of all the titles released over the years, this is probably one of the best, but it didn't take much. Teyon's video game does not present peaks neither from a narrative point of view nor from a playful one. If we talk about aesthetics then, we hardly reach sufficiency. We are not facing a total disaster, because there is some good mechanics, but it is really too little.

Let's be very clear: One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is, all in all, a pleasant game, sometimes even fun, but that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth to anyone, even fans of manga, or anime. The fighting is the beating heart of the game experience, but it's burdened with commands that you'd hardly call farraginous and inaccurate. The technical sector does not do justice to one of the most beloved franchises of the land of the rising sun in recent years, and it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Give it a chance, only six of you are a die-hard Saitama fans and partners, otherwise you'll move on, even if reluctantly.

6 / 10.0 - Maneater
Jun 1, 2020

Maneater is a slightly greedy shark who hasn't quite figured out how to swim yet. The title of Tripwire makes decent use of its concept to offer a game world full of humor and hilarity while failing in other points of view. Commanding a shark is fun in small sips and in order to complete the title will be necessary to make peace over and over again with the system of movement and fighting, all this, inserted within a playful paradigm twenty years old, closes the circle with a "if you really like sharks this is the game for you ...".

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is fun or not? If that's the question you're asking, the answer we have to give you is: Yes and no. The formula is pretty much the same one we're already used to, without much variation on the theme: destroy the first horde of enemies, head to zone 1, defeat the boss, and repeat everything. Despite a roster of characters as varied and vast as ever, this time Omega Force's recipe seems to have become stale, and would probably need a restyling, both in terms of gameplay and from a graphical and technical point of view. Recommended mainly to die-hard fans of the franchise, One Piece and musou.

6.5 / 10.0 - 198X
Jul 11, 2019

198X is a heartfelt tribute to arcade games, a door with a neon sign that leads into a bright and pleasantly noisy game room. It is not only this, because the indie title also tells a story, a drama that, in some ways, has a lot in common with many gamers, not only those who have lived through the era of arcades, but also the younger ones.

7 / 10.0 - Control
Aug 26, 2019

Control is a good title, fun if you want to experiment with the various combinations with Jesse's powers, but with a heavy supernatural thriller story crushed by long repetitive gameplay that never really shows muscles. The technical sector is quite good and Jesse floats in the air really marvelously, the repetitive settings, however, do not make you cry to the miracle, all things that make the new Remedy title more a missed opportunity rather than a title worthy of their name . If you don't pretend too much and are looking for a good action title, you will find what you need in Control and Jesse's skills.

7 / 10.0 - Resident Evil 3
Apr 6, 2020

Capcom, sorry to say, was wrong in creating this game, which seems rushed and flat. It has its merits, yes, but it also has many flaws that will disappoint everyone a bit: the old fans and the new, because it's not a remake worthy of the name but even as a game in its own right is not so good.

Let's get it over with: Ghost Recon Breakpoint is only half successful. If the technical side leaves us with the impression, in some ways, of an unfinished beta, what leaves the most bitterness in our mouths is the failure to dare with the survival element, which could have brought us all back to the early days of the franchise. Despite what has now been said, however, Ghost Recon Breakpoint still manages to entertain those who play it, especially if you decide to live the adventure together with other "comrades-in-arms". We're sure that Ubisoft, with the release of some corrective patches, can give its fans a very good and exciting gaming experience. However, as we write these lines, the impression is that perhaps it would have been legitimate to expect a little more.

7.2 / 10.0 - Deliver Us The Moon
Apr 24, 2020

Deliver Us the Moon is a fascinating indie with a good story told in an intriguing way and a gameplay that tries to offer more solutions to the player by not succeeding fully, due to a leitmotiv that repeats itself too often and puts in the background mechanical that they could have be better exploited, such as exploration on board vehicles. There are good level design ideas too, however, only half exploited and an attractive aesthetic apparatus.

7.2 / 10.0 - Conglomerate 451
Mar 27, 2020

Conglomarte 451 has substantial flaws and poor RPG components, the sound is almost to waste and the AI sometimes misses. Nevertheless, the core of the game is the dungeon crawling and turn-based fighting, brought together by the optimization of your party to deal with the different types of clashes proposed by AI. This last factor makes the playful experience satisfying and interesting, so I feel like rewarding the game that, if supported over time and fixed in the sore spots can become a reference point in the genre and purchase recommended for lovers of sci-fi. P.s. half a vote point for the hacking system, praiseworthy, really.

Infliction is a horror experience that cannot escape from the clichés of the genre, however it has a highly respectable atmosphere and environmental interaction that we have encountered in very few other titles of the same type. The puzzles to solve with the camera make the experience more varied, unfortunately in three scarce hours of play we will use it very few times. Caustic Reality could have dared more and filed the imperfections of a game that remains recommended for ghost story lovers.

7.5 / 10.0 - Concrete Genie
Oct 10, 2019

Concrete Genie is an enjoyable title, very pleasant and with excellent ideas behind it. There are many possibilities for customizing the Genes and the most imaginative players will be able to create works of good thickness. If the plot had delved deeper into the main theme, if the gameplay had not been split in two so abruptly and if the longevity had been a little higher, Concrete Genie would have reached higher peaks, but the general experience remains satisfactory.

7.5 / 10.0 - Coffee Talk
Jan 24, 2020

Coffee Talk is a visual novel that deals with important topics lightly and manages to make the player feel confessor, friend, confidant of the customers of the bar, despite the fact that they are often absurd characters. The playful part is simple in its structure, it is intuitive, but it is fun and consistent with the calm and calm atmosphere of the conversations. The beautiful designs and the never out of place sound are other factors that make Coffee Talk an experience to read and feel your own.

7.5 / 10.0 - Draugen
Feb 19, 2020

Draugen is an investigative walking simulator based on the story and the player's immersion in the game world. Its short duration, the lack of real puzzles and a path already traced that only needs to be followed could discourage those looking for a mystery that gives a hard time to their sixth sense. Despite this, Draugen remains an experience to be nurtured for its intriguing story, well written dialogues and exceptional aesthetics.

7.5 / 10.0 - Bleeding Edge
Mar 25, 2020

Even if Bleeding Edge has many elements that know of already seen (literally S4 League + Overwatch), Ninja Theory has still managed to make a fresh but above all fun game that comes straight to the heart (and heart) proposing a pressing pace to his games that fortunately end before they become frustrating. This promotes extreme playability both if you want to play a fast game and if you want to spend the whole evening grinding match after match with your friends. At launch, however, Bleeding Edge doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of maps and content, but if that's the case and we'll see more and more updates from the development team in the coming months, we're sure Bleeding Edge will be talking about itself for a long time to come.

7.5 / 10.0 - HyperParasite
Apr 4, 2020

Hyperparasite is a roguelike with the cast of a huge fighter. The title, strong of interesting gameplay ideas and a very clever basic mechanics is fun and exciting in cooperative. Remains to be filed some internal balances of the game systems and the difficulty remains high, certainly able to scare more than one player. Very interesting the presence of a cooperative mode, an option that enhances the longevity already good in itself. An interesting product, intended for a niche, which we hope will find the success it deserves.
