Even after the first few hours of the game, I had the feeling that I was in front of a wonderful title; after reaching the end credits, that feeling was definitely consolidated: The Last of Us Part II is one of the best video games of this generation, the best Sony exclusive and the real link between video game and cinema. Naughty Dog's work is superior to its predecessor in every respect, and raises the standards to which, from now on, any videogame will have to adhere, and believe me when I tell you that even just equalling this title will be an immense challenge, even for the most talented developer. But The Last of Us Part II is not a mere display of technique: it is emotion made videogame, it is a journey into the darkest part of our spirit, the one that we do not talk about willingly and perhaps we are ashamed of, but that is one of the faces that defines our human being, imperfect and beautiful at the same time. The second part of this adventure will shock you, but it will imprint itself in your memory like a brand, leaving in your mouth that bittersweet taste typical of the great works of the intellect, the ones we will talk about today and, above all, in the future. To give a grade to The Last of Us Part II seems almost an offense, so great and out of scale is the work done by Naughty Dog, but since an evaluation must be given, it can only be the maximum possible. To conclude, I'd like to give you an advice as a passionate player as I think I am: enjoy this adventure in the same way as a fine liquor, slowly, one sip at a time, enjoying every nuance, because it will be a long time before you can put your lips back on such a delicacy.

A more than appreciable technical sector, a stratospheric soundtrack that I often find myself listening to separately, as well as the REDengine, the same engine used for The Witcher 2 and developed by the same CD Projekt RED, contribute to bring on our screens an unforgettable gaming experience, which currently, five years after its release, is still the reference standard against which we compare story-driven videogames, whether we like it or not.

Person 5: Royal is the refinement of an already excellent title. I consider it the best jrpg experience and one of the best games in general of this generation. It has perfectly balanced gameplay, great longevity, replayability, lots of new content and great art direction. I am really happy that it has finally been located. This way it can really be enjoyed by everyone. It will steal your heart!

Obsidian is outdone. If you love RPGs, play it. Many say it's the "copy of Fallout New Vegas", let him do the meme and don't care about them, the experience is fundamentally different and sometimes deeper. The Outer Worlds is a game with a refined humor and never invasive or "cringe". Several ethical and moral themes will be touched on and it's up to you to decide the fate of entire worlds. If the title had a higher budget I would have been forced to give it an 8.5, considering instead the work of the Californian team that is certainly not famous for pharaonic figures behind the development a 9 is more than deserved. Thanks for letting me rediscover the beauty of RPGs, not one that was so beautiful for too long.

We are facing a new path taken by The Creative Assembly: the detachment from the other chapters of Total War is increasingly evident, adding brio and innovation to games that left little room for storytelling. The footage is beautiful and contextualized, the longtime players of Warhammer Fantasy can not miss this piece of the saga. We're unlikely to see the whole story treated so well and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

After a long epic in front of the screen that cost me the whole weekend, I can only notice one thing: the real COD is back. I haven't played a franchise title for years with a single player campaign so immersive and exciting that I think it's a good starting point for what could be a new trilogy. The multiplayer is no shortage Modern Warfare is promoted with honors. Congratulations Infinity Ward! Let a new era of prosperity begin for the series!

Valfaris is beautiful to see and fun to play. A title that sprays metal from every pore and that will immediately enter the hearts of fans thanks to an artistic section from hands in hair, with detailed, charismatic and original settings. Musically speaking, the soundtrack, created by Curt Victor Braynt, alone could be worth the price of the ticket. If to all this we add a gameplay fun like few other things, with the right depth and the right adaptability we are faced with a very clear situation: Valfaris is one of those video games to play during 2019, whatever it costs.

My seven days on Ciroxland Island proved to be a relaxing and excellent experience to alternate my forays into the Palace of Persona 5: Royal and the ruthless demons on Doom Eternal. In short, Animal Crossing is a bit like when you come home from work and, exhausted, you throw yourself on the couch not to think about anything, completely turning off your brain. Speaking of home: the possibility to virtually visit our friends' islands and interact with them is a great way to exorcise the current isolation due to the epidemic emergency. That sounds ephemeral, but I guarantee it has helped a lot. Objectively speaking, it is an excellent product in every respect that inherits and expands all aspects of the saga that began back in 2001. I recommend it to everyone, both enthusiasts and newbies.

Although starting from the excellent foundations laid by the previous chapter of the saga, Nioh 2 manages to innovate almost every aspect of it, proving to be a game of absolute excellence, able to meet the needs of every type of player. The most demanding and hardcore gamer will find his teeth, but even the user less accustomed to punitive mechanics will find his space, using certain builds and the Graves of Mercy. The soul cores and explosive counterattack are great additions to a gameplay already solid and compelling, but now it is even deeper and more varied, able to satisfy all palates. The only two flaws are the crafting and multiplayer, not developed enough, but nothing that may cloud our overall judgment.

Table Manners showed me a good time. It's a simple game but at the same time it's not and that's what makes it perfect for when you just want to rip your brain off and have a laugh. I'd play it over and over again and I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun with my friends, since we only share one neuron and can use it in shifts.

Judgment is a fun game, with many diversified aspects to discover, with a story that once again hits the mark and a huge amount of activities with which to delight. A little déjà-vu could be felt, but it is blown away after a few hours. The question we asked in the introduction finds an answer: yes, Judgment manages to make itself loved as a title with its own soul and nature and does not remain in the shadow of Yakuza.

DMC is extraordinary from every point of view, finding defects is an arduous thing. The offer of Devil May Cry has never been so full of aesthetic and playful content as in this fifth chapter. The excitement is then amplified by the soundtrack which is one of DMC's trademarks.

Resident Evil 2 will be the point of reference for the remakes in the years to come. Not only that, it will be one of the models to follow for the horror of the future, because this is not a simple makeover, it is a completely new game that improves the experience of the original work throughout. Finding weak points is really difficult: a story told to the great thanks to both aesthetic and content improvements, breathtaking graphics and gameplay that is the sum of classic horror combined with modernity that was asked for a remake.

Streets Of Rage 4 is a pleasant plunge into the past, a video game with roots rooted in tradition that manages to rejuvenate thanks to a fun combat system like those present in modernity. The title is also the umpteenth demonstration of the quality that Lizardcube puts in its products from a technical point of view, with wonderful sprites, background of absolute value and a generic feeling as respectful of the original as ready to make new proselytes. All this is best enjoyed by the player if you have the opportunity to play it in company, mode where the title shines brightly. One of the funniest experiences in recent gaming history for anyone with a sofa, beers and someone to play with.

Borderlands 3 is to all intents and purposes the son of its franchise: it maintains the same features and strengths of its predecessors, partly rejuvenating a very old gameplay with a new movement system and new features and types of quests. Some technical uncertainty and a narrative quality unfortunately not as good as the second chapter prevent the title from reaching perfection, but the latest Gearbox effort remains a healthy video game with incredible duration and fun, especially for fans of the franchise who will find themselves at home. If instead you haven't appreciated the mix of genres and the boorish humor of Borderlands in the past, you'll hardly change your mind with the third installment.
