By design, it’s awesome, by gameplay, somewhat convoluted. Sure, there’s the minor framerate skip here and there, but that does not take you out of the element at all. The game’s charm, and wit will keep you right into this amazing world, and will want you to continue exploring the labyrinth over and over again. I totally love the grind of Lapis X Labryrinth.

Having a game like Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization on-the-go made my experience with the title a positive one, one I believe that if I had played it in one swoop on my PS4, I may have had a differing opinion. But for fans, this is simply awesome, and I definitely can’t wait to jump back in, and grind a little more. Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization on Nintendo Switch, is a must have for JRPG lovers.

Outlandish style, zany action, over-the-top crudity, that will make your draw drop, and holler. I definitely love what Volition and Deep Silver have managed to pull off here, and am definitely pumped to dive through my windshield one more time, and take it for a spin.

Overall its quirky mixture of humour, platforming, light puzzle solving, exploration and combination of third person and first person action make this a must play for not only Rick and Morty fans, but all PlayStation VR owners. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trover saves the Universe features on many Game of The Year Lists come end of year.

So here we are at the conclusion. Is Cadence of Hyrule a great game? Hell yes. Is it a good ZELDA game? HELL. YES. Is it the best Zelda spin-off game? I don’t think you could ever top it, to be completely honest.

But for the time being, having an old kart racer like CTR, drive itself back into our lives, is definitely welcome. Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled is well worth the pick-up if you’re looking to go back to the days of old, and experience classic kart racing, even online with your mates this time. It does prove something though, even with a new lick of paint, Crash Team Racing still holds up to today’s standards of kart racers.

8 / 10.0 - My Friend Pedro

Zip lining upside down in slow motion, pumping rounds in to multiple enemies whilst planning my dismount through a glass window into another enemy filled room is the closest I’ll get to playing as Neo in the ultra-cool and violent lobby scene from The Matrix. Visually impressive, a synth heavy score and an addictive gameplay loop makes this a must play for Switch owners and shoot ‘em up fans.

Well, after playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night from start to finish, you can definitely tell the time and effort put into this modern classic, and potential cult hit, has nothing but love in it’s ingredients. Being able to button mash my way through different portions, had me tense like I was fighting for my life, trying to get through hoards of these creatures. While difficulty may have been somewhat unbalanced, the game was so much fun to dive back into. It was wary about going into the very first title in the series almost two decades later, but it’s epic plot, amazing cast of characters, it’s incredible lead, and no doubt it’s fun in exploration just makes this game a classic that every gamer should experience. Devil May Cry, is timeless.

With the huge success the Anime and Manga franchise has garnered, AOT2 falls perfectly into place within this universe. Yes, it’s a re-release of a title that has been on the market for months now, but for hardcore fans who are looking for the grind-on-the-go, this is it. This is the one. I can definitely say that my hours with this title are not over just yet, and will probably be looking to hit completion on a game for the first time since Persona 5. God Eater 3, is incredible.

It’s a great party game, if you have friends around that want to experience VR for the first time, but if you’re looking for a true blue immersive experience, I can’t say you will find it here. Is it a great “one-timer”? Absolutely. It’s a ton of fun, that you will love for hours. However, it’s only for hours. GORN is a great VR experience.

10 / 10.0 - Hollow Knight
Aug 4, 2019

Packed with a punch, it’s hack and slash style that simply inputs quite a cute charm into it’s dark and dreary state, along with it’s amazing colours and contrasts, set with incredible presentation and gameplay, and a soundtrack that will leave you quite emotional at times, with a story as compelling as any Triple-A title, will leave you stunned. Hollow Knight is perfect.

A violent, arcade shooter, that doesn’t give a stuff about your fancy upgrades, your new gun mechanics, your brand spanking new mech-armour, or your feelings. Wolfenstein should always be known for kicking ass, and taking names, and while I do believe Youngblood does try to take that notion, and turn it into a party, the party stopped the moment it wanted to be modernised. It’s the old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

It’s definitely a novelty to own, but the word “relic” comes to mind while playing this game. While you can experience other title’s in similar fashion to Metal Wolf Chaos XD, It’s cheesy lines, it’s quirky nature, and it’s unbelievable plot sell the title, but it’s gameplay and pacing will ultimately question it’s current worth.

8.5 / 10.0 - Damsel

The game lives up to this award, as one of the best independent developed games I’ve played, and so near and dear to my heart that it is from our homeland of Australia. It serves itself well as a casual title that appeals to a niche crowd that absolutely have no love lost for their platformers. Damsel is an intense experience, that will leave hardcore devotee’s for their love of platform shooters, coming back to this title for years to come.

Now that’s not a bad thing, as Hollow Realization is quite a solid game, but changing the mechanics and formula can be risky, which is something I highly respect the developers for trying. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is awesome. It met my expectations as a Sword Art Online fan in every way. While it might not be the perfect JRPG, I will cherish my experience with this title, and will continue to enjoy it for what it is, a great adaption to one of the best Anime’s ever made.

9.5 / 10.0 - Erica

With such an engrossing experience ready to be played right in the palm of your hands, it’s a bite sized tale that only will cost you a two cups of coffee (That’s around about $13 bucks, right?). Erica is highly recommended and essential gaming, for casual and experienced gamers alike, and would definitely be considered one of the best surprises Sony Interactive Studios have presented us this year.
