No More Heroes III is another elegantly crafted love letter to otaku culture and gamers but with the action cranked up to 10. Travis Touchdown is back for another over-the-top adventure. For those of us who waited for its premier on the PC and other consoles, it has been worth the wait.

Video Game Fables is a homage to classic JRPGs while also wanting to deconstruct and parody the genre tropes. In doing has resulted in a fun experience that gamers will enjoy. This is truly a solid experience developed by one person.

Gundam Evolution takes a classic concept and repurposes it into a hero shooter that also hits all the right marks. Fans will be battling each other with their favorite mobile suit in a familiar setup. It has some shortcomings but they are ones that can be resolved over time.

The 2022 XIII remake is a second chance to give new life to a cult classic. Unlike the previous attempt, this version does right by its fans by honoring the cult classic. It also does a great job at introducing it to a new generation of gamers.

SD Gundam: Battle Alliance encapsulates everything that makes the franchise iconic while also wanting to have fun with its world. As a work of Gundam media, it knows what the fans want while also encouraging them to explore the series. As a game, it knows how to be fun and understand what the player wants.

Thymesia is an indie studio’s love letter to the Dark Souls series and it makes no effort to hide it (in all the right ways). At the same time, it wants to introduce new gamers to the series with an experience that encapsulates what defines it but is scaled back in regards to time and grind.

Mothmen 1966 takes a familiar genre and adds a unique style to create an unforgettable work of horror. It’s a visual novel inspired by classic horror and pulps of the 60s but it does it so well. Making you shiver as the words appear on the screen and questioning your choices as your progress.

Bright Memory: Infinite is a fast-paced shooter that knows all too well what the player wants. The combat is fast paced and never stops while the gameplay is easy to learn. Overall, if you enjoyed the Crysis series back in the day then you will enjoy stepping into the shoes of Agent Shelia.

In all the right ways, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is exactly what you would expect from a sequel to the cult classic. It’s a horror game that feels like an unofficial adaptation of Twin Peaks and you love it for that. It’s also a flawed game but that is also what makes it memorable.

The House of the Dead: Remake is a reunion for old-school gamers while introducing a new generation to the arcade classic. If you grew up playing the arcade version, you will absolutely enjoy the PC version of the remake. If you enjoy horror survivals then you give this classic a playthrough (especially with a friend).
