Postcard 4: No Regerts is simply something you have to stay away from. It doesn't save itself for the humor, or the gameplay, or the visuals, or for any reason I try to think of to find a positive point.

1 / 10.0 - NERF Legends
Jan 22, 2022

Nerf Legends colossally fails as a product, game, or anything else it tried to be. It can't even be enjoyable or dumb enough to at least be funny. It wouldn't even be worth it if it was free to play. And if it was, maybe it had a chance because of the multiplayer. It's even a bad advertising for a cool toy that exists in the real world.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers had a good idea, that's for sure. Modestly, it could even have been a "law-side GTA" or just another crazy simulator with a cop but the amount of issues turns it into something totally forgettable and not worth even meme status.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is unfortunately a product that is not only poorly developed, but also poorly optimized, a terrible combination for any video game. Playing it is like being trapped in a title from the early 2000s, a fertile time for a series of licensed games whose production ambition is proportional to their questionable technical capacity.

Valley of the Dead: MalnaZidos is one of the worst experiences I ever had with videogames. The gameplay is bad in every possible way, the story is badly told, and the bugs make the experience unbearable. The few qualities [the game has] are the cutscenes and the possibility to see different points-of-view to the story through the perspective of other characters — which is also underexplored. If you're interested in the plot, it'd be better to invest yourself into one of the other [MalnaZidos] media available.

2.5 / 10.0 - Babylon's Fall
Mar 16, 2022

The final product that is Babylon's Fall gives the impression that the developers gave up halfway. You know when you start something, see that the idea is impractical, silly or just plain boring to go ahead with, and then you don't care, launching it without any will? That's the impression left by the game.

3 / 10.0 - RWBY: Arrowfell
Dec 10, 2022

Unfortunately, RWBY: Arrowfell is yet another example of a licensed game of questionable quality. The game is relatively short, not challenging, and has nothing to really keep the player interested.

3 / 10.0 - LEGO Brawls
Sep 16, 2022

LEGO Brawls left me really frustrated. Seeing a vast creative opportunity being wasted this way was vexing. Not even having a huge amount of pieces to unlock motivates more than an hour of playing. A shame, to say the least.

Krut: The Mythic Wings presents a strong example of lazy level design, poor gameplay and questionable quality. It is difficult to point out positive things amid so much that shows that this is a low quality product.

3 / 10.0 - The Plane Effect
Oct 4, 2021

The Plane Effect has a bad execution and can put the player away in a short time. The bizarre story is completely open to interpretation, but even so, it's difficult to make any analogy or metaphor of the surreal events, and several other games have made it much simpler. The technical part is also not pleasing and makes the experience far more frustrating and extensive than it should, forcing us to turn on Guided mode just to finish the game. I myself, who love games full of metaphors and which allow us to draw our own conclusions, forced myself to reach the end to witness something unsatisfactory.

3 / 10.0 - Open Country
Jun 25, 2021

Open Country tries to be original and innovative through a mix of RPG, hunting, sandboxing and survival, but ends up putting all its ambition in a big garbage can. This mix of incoherent and loosely unstructured genres resulted in a completely forgettable and non-recommended experience, obstructing any chance of success. Besides that, the game's main features are fraught with latency and physics issues.

3 / 10.0 - Tamarin
Sep 20, 2020

Tamarin lacks polish and not even the great soundtrack and the interesting interconnected 3D world saves it from a confused and meaningless story with characters without charisma. It's a monotonous and exhausting title, with poorly designed mechanics, annoying camera and inaccurate and problematic gameplay. The absence of markers in a semi-open world that is visually polluted and disorganized makes exploration repetitive, frustrating and almost anything challenging, and even though the shooting experience is less terrible than the platform experience, there are not enough reasons to check out the game.

Currently the Avatar franchise has been getting more attention with new productions for TV, streaming, cinema and comics. The rich universe created in 2005 will have many opportunities to attract new audiences and to continue appealing to the fans. However, it's regrettable that the games based on the franchise aren't receiving the same care as the other media.

3.5 / 10.0 - Of Bird and Cage
Jul 9, 2022

Of Bird and Cage presents a very interesting premise that mixes a movie, a metal concert and a game. Unfortunately, it fails to execute this idea, with poorly polished graphics and gameplay and a poor story. The soundtrack is neat and there is a great effort by the developer in this aspect, but it is not enough to sustain the title. It's worth a conceptual experience, but as entertainment, it leaves something to be desired.

3.5 / 10.0 - No More Heroes
Jun 15, 2021

No More Heroes is a unique piece of electronic entertainment that is proud to be the playful game that it is and deserves to be spread, universalized beyond Nintendo consoles. However, the PC port is a real disaster, all the disregard for this version of the game, which borders on the unplayable, should put in check even XSEED, a company that generally stands out for all the zeal it has with its products.

With drawn-out battles, scary internal menu designs, and a terrible online system, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is probably one of the worst experiences I've had this year, and in fighting games in my entire life. A shame indeed, as I'm a big fan of the source material and would love to see it receive the quality and success that other Bandai Namco releases have had in recent times. Unfortunately, it wasn't this time.

Thus, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is what one would expect of a soulless licensed game on the PlayStation 2/early-PlayStation 3 era. The main different is the monetary correction of inflation, updated to what one would expect to pay for an open world title in the current industry.

4 / 10.0 - LASERPITIUM
Jun 17, 2023

Even if the biggest issue were only the extremely simplistic proposal, Laserpitium would still be a hard choice for anyone who isn't a hardcore shoot'em up fan. However, it went beyond: a lacking presentation, pitiful story, generic graphic style and bad gameplay, along with bad ideas in every aspect, make the game even worse. It's functional and even has some minimal qualities that maybe could, perhaps, satisfy fans of the genre; for anyone else, I'd suggest searching for other options in the stores.

The Pinball Wizard tries to offer a unique interpretation of the classic arcade, but fails with its limited and problematic execution. Moving the mage with the help of flippers is intuitive, however the stages are uninteresting, the variety of content is very limited and the difficulty is unbalanced. In the end, this mix of pinball and dungeon crawler didn't stick and is completely forgettable.

4 / 10.0 - Recompile
Aug 19, 2021

Recompile presents a unique concept, but the clumsy execution of its ideas completely compromises the game. The world inside the mainframe captivates with its interesting setting, especially the interpretation of programs and devices. However, other aspects have problems: the level design is uninteresting, the imprecise jump makes the platform parts irritating, the combat is truncated and dull, and the hacking mechanics are basically irrelevant. As such, Recompile is a difficult adventure to recommend.
