Alan Wake 2 is by far the most original experience I've played this year. The way Remedy built its world, characters and story, without caring about industry standards or narrative conventions of the genre, is indeed commendable. The project finds strength in being a double story of horror and investigation, asking the player to think together with its protagonists on a way to use art and rewrite a future that seems immutable.

It is clear that the Lightbulb Crew team went out of their way to present a universe rich in its shades of grey, full of crazy creatures, a curious and volatile villain, as well as stylish heroines, full of impressive skills. Everything gets even deeper thanks to an original soundtrack of great quality that knows how to set the tones of drama, suspense and action at the right times. If you like strategy games and a good challenge, here is one of the big surprises of 2020 and, in my opinion, one of the best titles of its kind ever.

With an engaging and exciting campaign, the narrative makes it look like we're watching an anime, spurring our game to see the next step in history and conveying the adrenaline of the moment so that our battle on board the Thunderbolt is the most epic we've ever fought. Simulation mode aims to shape us to be a more hardcore driver and the local multiplayer mode is an excellent addition for playing with friends. Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy Collection is the best compilation of the franchise that Capcom has ever released. Unlike the previous editions, which were divided in two, here we have a complete package with all games from the Zero and ZX series. Games that until then were only available on two out of line Nintendo portable consoles are now accessible with new ways to play and are sure to appeal to a wide range of players. 9 Monkeys of Shaolin does much more than just join the vast list of beat ‘em ups: it is among the best of its kind. Sobaka Studio not only inserted all the elements that I consider essential, but also knew how to go further, adding aspects that differentiate it from the majority and that work very well with the frantic and exciting style of these games. The character's evolution structure prolongs the title's longevity for those who like grinding without making it mandatory for players who despise this mechanic.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues proves to be an excellent option for those who enjoy the good old beat ‘em up genre. Up to two players locally will have an extensive campaign ahead, a well-designed character progression system, and a fun and fluid combat mechanic. Disco Elysium - The Final Cut combines different elements in a very engaging RPG. Investigation, existentialism and politics are mixed in an unusual adventure full of simple and elegant mechanics. There is much to see in its elaborate world, which can be explored in different ways. The dense narrative explores remarkable themes through several memorable characters and poignant scenes, in an elaborate and impeccably localized Brazilian Portuguese text. In addition, visuals with impressionist touches, soft music and accurate voice acting set the melancholic mood of the city of Revachol. Taisho x Alice has a very interesting writing. All the characters stand out for their striking personalities, managing to offer romance, humor and dark elements in the right measure. Epilogue is a very satisfactory conclusion to the saga. Connecting the previous episodes more clearly, the final stretch isn't as shocking as the previous episode, but it is exactly what it needed to be for the conclusion.
