Age of Empires IV does not reinvent anything, but offers gameplay worthy of the time while adding some subtleties to please regulars of the franchise. If the artistic direction is not unanimous and the environment is very repetitive, the title still manages to provide as much pleasure as before.

Gran Turismo 7 is trying to catch up after the disappointment of the last opus with the return of players' favourite modes as well as the addition of some new features. The PS5 version offers a higher image refresh rate in addition to being closer to Polyphony Digital's goal of providing a realistic experience. Unfortunately, the behaviour of artificial intelligence, the absence of real visual damage, sometimes very low quality textures in the backgrounds, the omnipresence of menus and the feeling of repetitiveness that sets in quickly do not allow the title to rise as high as its competitors. The game should, however, satisfy a large majority of first-time fans who will undoubtedly feel nostalgic for the good old days of the franchise.

While Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge isn't perfect, especially when it comes to online multiplayer and the amount of content, it is a very good game. For the price, you won't be disappointed. Plus, it's a really great local multiplayer title where 4 to 6 players (depending on the platform) can play simultaneously. Older players will appreciate the nostalgic feel throughout the title. Younger players will find endearing heroes in a high quality beat them up.

With Capcom Arcade Stadium 2nd, I had a lot of fun. I recommend you to download the basic game and discover the virtual arcade, because it's gorgeous! And you will definitely find something to suit your taste. The first one is still available for download too.

Rollerdrome is, in my opinion, one of the beautiful nuggets of 2022. The gameplay is very well balanced despite the absence of a modifiable difficulty. The actions that we follow offer a real satisfaction as well on the sound level as on the visual level. On this level, the artistic direction allows the title to stand out while the technique offers a fluid and spectacular experience. Roll7's new license should undoubtedly appeal to fans, but also to all players who want to impress the world with online rankings. While the basic premise is simple enough, the overall experience is diverse enough to rarely feel like you're doing the same thing. I say rarely, because in the end it's true that you start over and over again the same levels to increase your score on them. However, in my opinion, this is a very small flaw for a very high quality experience.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has proven to be my favorite game of the genre so far. I think the developers have capitalized well on the strengths of Musou while adding the best elements of the latest Fire Emblem. This is once again a long-term game that will offer dozens of hours of gameplay for fans of the genre. For newcomers, it can also be a great starter as it offers a lot of flexibility for difficulty levels and it explains very well each new element that they add along the way. In short, it is easy to recommend.

Mario Strikers: Battle League should easily meet the expectations of those who have been waiting for a sequel for a long time. The game is more fun than ever thanks to a more dynamic and perfectly fluid gameplay. It also takes a lot of practice to master it perfectly and the challenge is there even for veteran players. In short, Nintendo is starting the summer on the right track with this new Mario Strikers.

HAL Laboratory studio has taken up the challenge of giving our favorite series a more modern look. I love that the devs dared with more wacky and over the top Kirby transformations than ever before and powers that are pushed to the maximum with their evolutions. The younger ones should find it a rather fun and accessible game, while the slightly older ones will have fun with the more advanced challenges. Kirby and the Forgotten Land isn't perfect, but it lays the groundwork to a futur of Kirby that I can get behind.

Two Point Campus is a very relaxing game, which fits perfectly between more stressful and action oriented games. It's fun to create a life at University in your image and try to be the best school of all. The game remains a simulator, but the arcade aspect of the title is definitely very present. Finally, the fact that its on Game Pass makes it very accessible, but we definitely do prefer playing it on PC.

Splatoon 3 delivers the best solo campaign of the series so far and it’s a whole lot of fun. With a wide variety of challenges that make you use all of the many weapons of the game; you will want more and more. On the competitive side, it's unfortunate that Nintendo doesn't introduce new modes, but the variety of maps and weapons should satisfy the fans. On my end, I plan to spend a lot of time in the new and better Salmon Run which will now be active 24/7. Overall, Splatoon 3 still shines with its unique approach, but we expect Nintendo to deliver multiple free updates to keep us inked in.

Being a racing and management game fan, I was looking forward to this F1 Manager 2022. On the whole, I was not disappointed. The title developed by Frontier Developpements has once again proven its know-how. We find a very complete management experience with a successful integration of the discipline and even a little more with the young drivers. The internal camera during the sessions on the track is simply amazing and the game offers a good visual identity. Nevertheless, I would have hoped to be able to start my career in a lesser discipline to climb the ladder, a better management of the AI in races and maybe a greater level of realism in the accidents on the track. However, I can't hide the fact that I am very excited that such a prestigious license is in the hands of such a talented team. The base is there, it only remains to refine.

Nihon Falcom and NIS America give us yet another larger-than-life adventure in Trails from Zero. The Legend of Heroes is slowly climbing the ranks of my list of favorite JRPGs, and this one adds important pieces of the puzzle. The quality-of-life improvements that come with the Switch and PC versions would deserve the name of remastered. In short, if you want a JRPG with an emotional story, very enjoyable old-school visuals, and solid combat, give this one a chance.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn pays an excellent tribute to a game that is seen as a reference of the genre. Square Enix found ways to make its title more approachable which is great for newcomers. Although the fights can be very long, the game remains to this day one of the best TRPG. Yes, they could've done a lot more, but it's already a big step in the right direction.

Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet bring some interesting new innovations such as a complete open world and a fun new Let’s Go! mechanic that speeds up fighting. The fact that you can now tale multiple paths really helps to diversify gameplay and the narrative behind is the best the series has to offer. Unfortunately, some technical issues such as texture problems and Pokémons that load too slowly in the open world will irritate players.

What Fika Production has achieved with Ship of Fools is far from obvious, namely to reinvent itself in a genre that has taken a lot of space in the last few years. The game will catch you by its presentation as well as its frenzied rhythm during the games. If you can play it with two people, it's even better. But the adventure itself is worth the effort if you like roguelike games. And that's good because I love it. If that's the case for you, there's no reason not to fall in love with Ship of Fools!

The port of Sackboy: A Big Adventure was made by the studio Sumo Digital, which is also the creator of the original version. Overall, the title takes the same content as before, but allows PC gamers to catch up, especially with the distribution of many costumes to customize its experience. Compatible with the Dualsense of the PS5, this version offers the highest experience. Despite some slowdowns, especially when using certain technologies such as Ray-Tracing, most of the bugs from the launch have been corrected by the developers. The PC version of Sackboy: A Big Adventure allows many players to discover this colorful and ingenious title that can be played solo or in teams.

The Callisto Protocol is a nice surprise that certainly honors the series it was inspired from. Close quarter combat adds a unique gameplay element that really nurtures the horror and survival side. Striking Distance Studios offers us a balanced experience with the right level of action and horror that replicates the 2nd Dead Space perfectly. At last, the game is wrapped in a visual presentation that can't shy away from any AAA games. Apart from small problems with a few misplace saves, the experience is excellent. I'm already looking forward to the sequel.

Fire Emblem Engage tells a great story full of heart that’s probably the best of the series. The addition of the Emblem Rings which bring heroes of the past games is a nice touch. However, the decision of removing so many great features that were in Theee House, makes Engage a weaker title in my opinion.

Trails to Azure is another great Nihon Falcon title that adds a lot to the world of the Legend of Heroes Series. The two new additions to the SSS team are a perfect fit. Meanwhile, those who played previous entries will appreciate having a lot of their questions answered. Finally, just like Zero, Azure received a lot of great enhancements from its PSP version that make the game perfectly fine for today’s consoles.
