Shame Legacy is a bad survival horror experience filled with frustrating mechanics, bad performance, and a scary price tag.
Lovecraft's Untold Stories 2 is a game that should not have been released, even after being delayed multiple times. The developers secretly removed the cooperative feature, which is a sly move on their end. The game as it stands now is riddled with bugs, janky mechanics, quality of life issues, and should not be purchased as is. It is an insult to the fans of the first game.
XEL paints a beautiful picture but fails to produce anything notable beyond this. Between one-dimensional characters, uninspired combat, and rampant progression barriers, I found very few things to enjoy here. If you are a starved Zelda fan looking for a sci-fi twist or care little about a story this may be worth your time.
Monster Harvest is a mostly forgettable title that will only really appeal to those who are incredibly fond of the genre.
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is everything that is wrong with remakes. The game fails to innovate on the antiquated design of the original title, and instead, it only offers superficial improvements.
The MW3 campaign gets by on Call of Duty's expertly refined gunplay and little else. Its nonsensical narrative comes across as pitiful and dull, further hindered by the uninspired mission design that never extends beyond "go here and shoot them." Purchasing MW3 for its campaign is a massive waste of money, let alone time.
While A Long Way Down has some interesting ideas, but its lack of direction or focus makes progressing through its long-winded levels a chore. None of its unique ideas ever feel substantial enough, and it never did enough to hold my interest for very long. A Long Way Down is far from terrible, but it's not worth your time or money.
Final Fantasy 16 is a tremendously disappointing JRPG with a clunky, shallow narrative, unengaging characters, lifeless environments and overly simplified combat. It's few redeeming qualities, namely its visuals and occasional intriguing story moment, are overshadowed by its plethora of flaws. Final Fantasy 16 is a hard game to recommend, even to diehard fans of the franchise.
Lord of the Rings: Gollum disappointingly incorporates outdated mechanics and falls short of its potential. The game's linear approach guides players through levels, with decisions that don't significantly impact the storyline. Furthermore, the platforming mechanics prove to be a significant letdown, and the low-quality graphics and inconsistent music further detract from the overall experience.
Martha Is Dead had an opportunity to explore mental health, loss, and abuse in an engrossing and meaningful way. However, it disappointingly falls flat. A myriad of bugs and annoying gameplay elements completely and utterly ruin this potentially great experience.
In Sound Mind is a psychedelic survival horror with shooting, sneaking, platforming, and puzzles. The story is fantastic, and the soundtrack is even better. But for the expensive cost of clunky gameplay and horrendous lag, In Sound Mind just isn't worth the price tag.
INDUSTRIA is a flawed experience that needs much more time in development to fix all the bugs and polish up the gameplay. While it introduces a world filled with interesting lore and backstory, it lacks substantially in all other categories.
All Walls Must Fall had serious potential to be a mind-bending, time-shifting, techno-infused, XCOM clone, but unfortunately falls flat. Ultimately, I wish one wall had stayed up: the one that puts me very, very far away from this mess.
The Medium looks pretty, but outside of that, this game is not special.
At times, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood will deliver a glimpse of a great power fantasy, only to be torn down by everything else it has to offer.
Paradise Lost is a frustrating experience. While its hauntingly atmospheric environments are a joy to explore, its lacklustre narrative betrays its phenomenal premise. The lack of interactable elements means its already slow-paced gameplay is a slog to get through. Its all too cryptic narrative leaves much to be desired, taking away my care factor for the story's outcome. This is a stunning game with a lot of potential, but it ultimately fails to meet the heights it should.
Foamstars tries to bring something new to the table but has almost immediately been drowned out thanks to its repetitiveness.
Gangs of Sherwood is a disappointing game with a short campaign, repetitive combat, and limited accessibility options
My Time at Sandrock is an exceptionally content-rich game with a satisfying gameplay loop, exciting narrative, and a mostly compelling cast of characters. Unfortunately, it is let down by the Nintendo Switch port, which is so fundamentally flawed that it ruins the entire experience.
While Ad Infinitum's interesting World War I backdrop for a horror game might entice you initially, its lack of polish and uninspired gameplay prevent you from being engaged until the end.
