If you like Metroidvanias, and weird creepy stuff is your jam, this is the game for you. If you prefer your narratives easy to follow, and have a low tolerance for gross monsters and dying a bunch, you're better off skipping this one.

While it doesn't always captivate, Dice Legacy is unequivocally unique and enjoyable. It manages to capture the addictiveness of city builders, and somehow blends it with a roguelike to make something entirely new. Any fans of strategy gaming should give this one a try.

8.6 / 10.0 - The Thaumaturge
Mar 4, 2024

An excellent RPG that offers a strong narrative, true player choice, and a fresh setting and magic system. The combat can be a bit repetitive, but its interesting systems mitigate that somewhat, and the real draw here is the role playing anyway.

Kingdom Come strived for novelty, immersive storytelling, and realistic features. It checked all of these boxes and then some. It provides a truly unique experience. Unfortunately, many of these features can become difficult to manage and can limit user experience. That said, it is a game that any fan of historical fiction needs to play and is sure to stay in their rotation for years to come

A fantastic tabletop RPG in video game format, with incredibly polished gameplay + Immersive world brought to life by the game master & cards gimmicks + Interesting characters that do not conform to genre tropes & cliches - Too short at 10-15 hours & slightly too easy with no difficulty setting

Alone in the Dark has such a fantastic pulp horror aesthetic that it makes up for very lackluster gameplay. Stand out performances, a clear reverence for horror, and some great writing make it work. Though it might not quite be worth the price...

8.4 / 10.0 - Boomerang X
Jul 8, 2021

While there isn't a whole heck of a lot here, what is here is tight, polished, and fun. Even if you aren't someone who usually plays first-person platformer/shoot-em-up type games, Boomerang X is a great introduction to faster or more mechanically demanding shooters.

8.2 / 10.0 - Infernax
Feb 14, 2022

This 2D, NES-era-inspired action platformer features rock-solid gameplay and an excellent progression system. While it definitely isn't for everyone, it's not trying to be for everyone, it's trying to be for people who like demon fetuses, platforming, and pixel art -- and it's succeeding.

A solid entry in the Metroidvania genre, The Last Faith wears its influences on its sleeve, and provides a fun hack-and-shoot-and-spell adventure while doing so. It isn't particularly original — but it's fun, so who cares?
