Distant Bloom is a fantastic cozy management game for those who just want to sit back and relax while going through a heartwarming story. The game plays a big part in the environmental theme without making it stressful or frustrating.

4.7 / 5.0 - Rise of the Ronin
Mar 24, 2024

Rise of the Rōnin is certainly not the masterpiece we were hoping for, but it’s extremely close to being one. What you’re already getting with the intriguing story, outstanding weaponry, excellent combat, refined mechanics, and so on are more than enough to provide a phenomenally gripping, historical, action-packed RPG experience.

Flawless is the perfect term to describe Dragon’s Dogma 2, and it portrays a beyond-sheer level of magnificence, making it one of Capcom’s greatest projects ever. This isn’t even close to being an exaggeration, but not only is this a Game of the Year contender, but it might be an all-time great. Not once did I feel the need to turn off the game and would often feel miffed whenever I had to.

3.5 / 5.0 - Twilight Zone VR
Mar 22, 2024

Considering the overall presentation, these three unique chapters with different gameplay styles and a short runtime are worthy of a playthrough, especially if you are a fan of the series. All of the stories are connected by a single thread, and to see the care put into The Twilight Zone VR with abundant nods to its creator and what came before it is satisfying to see for the fans.

4.5 / 5.0 - MLB The Show 24
Mar 21, 2024

MLB The Show 24 continues the upgrades we witnessed in last year’s great title, and it had to take a lot to accomplish that. With the additions and enhancements, this is easily the most authentic Baseball game in the franchise. Plus, it provides equally outstanding experiences for both men and women players. And yet again, to sweeten the pot, it’s available on Xbox Game Pass. So, go ahead and get this puppy, and let’s play ball.

Alone in the Dark is definitely turning out to be a masterpiece that needs to be experienced by new players and those looking for a blast from the past. Between the world and character design, along with the brilliant voice acting, you’re in for a hell of a ride while possibly running for your life at times.

Outcast – A New Beginning came as a surprise as one of the releases for 2024. Although Appeal hinted at the sequel at certain points, it never caught my attention until now, of course. The graphics, lore, and story are pretty much settled in the Adelpha universe, and fluent gameplay pushes you to learn more about the story of natives and Cutter himself.

3.8 / 5.0 - Highwater
Mar 14, 2024

Highwater is a fantastic game with a story worth playing. It is highly immersive, allowing you to get lost in the gameplay for hours. It is a great casual turn-based strategy for those just looking to relax and watch a great story unfold rather than stress over how to out-strategize the enemy.

Contra: Operation Galuga won’t disappoint Contra fans, but it also won’t give them something new. While the game was described as a sequel, it is honestly more of a remake with some added extras. I’m not saying it’s an entirely bad thing; as “remakes” go, it’s done well. The developers at WayForward have kept the parts of the game that are so loved and improved on them, basically bringing Contra to a new generation while keeping the older fans happy.

STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection is another remastered game that’ll satisfy our nostalgic taste buds. Other than the issue mentioned earlier, which simply needs a patch, with your increased knowledge of what this bundle contains, plus the improvements, fixes, and extra trimmings, it’s fair to say that it’s a much smarter move to spend extra for a package with more enhanced and polished versions.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is an interesting experience for those who have not just played the first rendition of the game, and the overall experience is a roller coaster of feelings, visuals, and scenarios that the player can be enthralled with, ranging from sad to funny or even dark. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is full of adventure and feelings for the whole game.

An inspiring and heartfelt tale for children and adults alike, Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley serves as a much-needed reminder to let go of the baggage we carry, reconnect with nature, and try to learn to be a little bit more like Snufkin.

3.8 / 5.0 - Stolen Realm
Mar 8, 2024

There really isn’t much of a story hook at all, nor do you make any key choices of what happens. Instead, Stolen Realm should be completely approached like a loot RPG such as Diablo 4. You are here to grind, make builds, and get progressively stronger. This is great for fans of dungeon crawlers who don’t really need anything else. But if you prefer a strong plot or setting, Stolen Realm doesn’t have it.

Zoria: Age of Shattering follows the rules of the staple medieval RPGs in the market, which is absolutely fine. The charm of the overworld and replay value in the game are immensely high, but some quality control might have led to a polished release. In terms of gameplay, it feels close to home but then feels clunky at times to put you off, so it’s better to approach Zoria’s world with a bit of a pinch of salt into your inventory.

4 / 5.0 - Manic Mechanics
Mar 7, 2024

Manic Mechanics is incredibly fun. Even though it's not the most original game, it has very few issues to hold it back. I can see myself sitting on the couch and replaying levels or having my friends join in and experience the chaos together.

4.2 / 5.0 - Berserk Boy

Berserk Boy is a fun retro platformer with fast-paced action, epic abilities, and nostalgic vibes. Each character is memorable and funny, equipped with fantastic looks and personalities; Berserk Boy is well worth giving a shot. Even though the music can get a bit repetitive, the game is still a blast to play and allows for creative combat by switching elements around.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is ultimately what players have known the MudRunner series for. And it is very great to see them employ the “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” mentality, where the game is already fun and engaging enough that it doesn’t require any changes to its core approach to off-roading. You can still find excitement and planning yourself ahead with the title and it’s ultimately one of the best simulators for the specific genre of automotive fans. It is highly recommended that give Expeditions: A MudRunner Game a shot if you like to play dirty- I mean, in the mud and rain of course.
