4.5 / 10.0 - KINGDOM of the DEAD
Feb 10, 2022

Kingdom of The Dead is far from a polished game; with a unique art style and somewhat enticing gameplay, it delivers a bland experience for fans of the older Doom and Quake series. Filled with bugs and uninspired enemies, Kingdom of the Dead is far from the game that the developer is trying to market.

5 / 10.0 - CryoFall
May 19, 2021

CryoFall is an interesting game with a simple premise – survival in a dystopian 2D world. It has a bunch of new cool ideas but it generally uses your own experiences to give you a fun time. The game, fresh out of Early Access, did not feel ready yet to me. I played the game once, I experienced most things, but now I have no reason to go back for more. True survival fans who’ve exhausted their options will no doubt have a fun time with CryoFall. If you’re trying to get into survival games, however, you might want to start somewhere else.

6 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones
Feb 24, 2024

Skull and Bones has some fun naval combat mechanics and a largely engaging sandbox experience that's brought down by live-service trappings and a lack of freedom outside of controlling your ship. There's a lot of room for improvement, and Skull and Bones has the potential to realize its setting by reexamining the games it's influenced by.

Tomb Raider I - III Remastered is a faithful recreation of the original Tomb Raider trilogy, however, its attempts to innovate and modernize the control scheme has left it in a weird state where it feels broken even though it isn't. In its current state, the game definitely feels weird, and until those issues are resolved, the game will remain an uneven remaster at best.

Stargate: Timekeepers is a stealth-focused strategy game set in the Stargate universe that tries to fill in big shoes but barely manages to fit into a single one. Its foundational mechanics are great, however, it's apparent that many of them need further polish. The game has the potential to become a cult classic one day, but alas, that day is not today.

Testament: Order of High Human is an ambitious RPG that tries to do a lot but doesn't succeed fully in any particular aspect. Its world, characters, and storytelling are engaging to follow, but the sluggish combat and lack of polish keep it from reaching its full potential.

6 / 10.0 - Ravenlok
May 4, 2023

Ravenlok is a charming fairytale voxel adventure game that features a decent variety of enemies and puzzles. Despite the lackluster storyline, it's a fairly short game that's worth playing with its simple combat mechanics easily accessible for everyone. Although Ravenlok might not appeal to players that prefer a challenge, this simple simple action-adventure title will certainly eat up your afternoon.

6 / 10.0 - PERISH
Feb 1, 2023

Perish has the potential to be a decent title in the saturated cooperative first-person shooter space. Unfortunately, its lack of polish prevents it from being a worthwhile consideration. It simply is an inferior version of other more famous titles without offering anything unique.

6 / 10.0 - Trifox
Oct 13, 2022

Trifox looked like a great game. I really liked the art style and the graphics and was looking forward to a game that combined some fun combat with platforming. What I instead found was a game that tried to blend in RPG elements, a not-so-user-friendly tutorial, platforming, puzzle solving, and making the protagonist a literal jack of all trades.

6 / 10.0 - Thymesia
Aug 16, 2022

Thymesia is a mixed bag and simply doesn’t do enough to stand out. There are some neat ideas when it comes to how you approach combat encounters with plague weapons, but a lack of polish remains a constant obstacle in almost every facet of it. When it works, and all the systems line up, you can have a lot of fun, but that rarely happens. Despite its excellent visuals, the world feels shallow because of its linearity, and the use of annoying enemies to compensate for a lack of intricate level design makes an already difficult experience, exhausting.

6 / 10.0 - Neon Blight
Jul 11, 2022

I wanna root for this game so that it’ll have more content in the future but at the state of this build, I can’t really see any longevity when it comes to replayability. You can get bored once you’ve collected the weapons and cleared all the bosses. It’s probably a good top-down shooter game if you want to get introduced to a less stressful version of bullet hell. There are plenty of better ones in the market and this game may still have a long way to go.

6 / 10.0 - Fixfox

Fixfox sets out to be this fun and exciting adventure game that revolves around fixing broken devices throughout your journey, however, the gameplay is not captivating enough to push me to keep playing the game.

6 / 10.0 - Just Die Already
Jun 3, 2021

All in all, I had a lot of fun during the journey leading to writing this Just Die Already review. The developers of this game put a lot of love into it, despite what it tries to show off. Loads of content, fresh ideas, and smooth (as smooth as it could be anyway) controls make this game a delight. However, Just Die Already is by no means perfect even for its chaotic genre. Expect a lot of fun, expect it to wear off prematurely, but embrace the journey anyway; it is worth it.

6 / 10.0 - To The Rescue!

To The Rescue gives us an immersive experience of what goes on inside a dog shelter. Animal lovers will certainly enjoy this simulation. It also brings in challenges when it comes to time and resource management so every second will count.

6.5 / 10.0 - Rustler
Feb 2, 2022

Rustler advertises itself as a parody of Grand Theft Auto with its subtitle as Grand Theft Horse. It does quite an excellent job of giving players that nostalgic vibe through its top-down style action-adventure game like the old Grand Theft Auto games. The world is gorgeous, and the music it comes along with to accompany you with your adventure.

Overcooked is a fun franchise, but as stated this is an Overcooked: All You Can Eat PC Review. The gameplay is undoubtedly fun, but getting to the fun is the hard part. An argument could be made for this game if you have never played Overcooked or Overcooked 2 and plan on only having couch parties. But otherwise, you should just stick to the copy of the game you already have. This can all be fixed eventually, of course. But as of right now, there will be no Michelin stars being awarded.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service is a fun game to distract yourself, but don’t go in expecting anything else. While being unreliable is part of the appeal, controls and movements just feel unnatural, and sometimes unnecessarily complex, this is aggravated by the fact the game refuses to provide any guidance or assistance at all.

7 / 10.0 - Rising Lords
Mar 14, 2024

Rising Lords is a hexagon-grid-based tactics game that introduces elements from Battle Brothers, Civilization, and chess to create a game that is rich in mechanics, but lacking in depth. Its medieval presentation and art style are a highlight, and there's a decent variety in the content offered. While it's fun for a couple of hours and up to a couple of days, the lack of a multiplayer scene or mod support seriously harms the longevity of the game.

7 / 10.0 - The Thaumaturge
Mar 4, 2024

The Thaumaturge is a story driven top-down adventure game that plays like an existentialist novel by Dostoevsky. Its rich cast of characters and expanding story draws you in and sinks its pangs into your brain. If you're looking for a story-rich game that's relatively easy to get into and has some excellent art direction, this is the one. Just be mindful of the performance issues and uneven voice acting in some parts.

Island of Insight is a sandbox adventure game that's brimming with hundreds of unique puzzles to solve. It's not a game in the traditional sense, rather, a sandbox experience that allows you to mold it however you want. It's a solid educational tool and a perfect aid for winding down at the end of the day while keeping your mind active.
