Sep 20, 2022

If you are looking for 3D sims with a cute anime cast, Idol manager is not your piece of cake. However, if you want to take things up a notch and want to play management sims, it is a solid entry point for beginners and veterans alike. Its in-game forecasts and audience give the game a sense of realism rarely seen in such genres.

Recommended - Thymesia
Sep 7, 2022

Despite its uninspired level design, maze-like maps, and a lacklustre story, Thymesia manages to deliver on its gameplay which is fast, frantic, and fun. It does not stand shoulder to shoulder with its big league counterparts whose ideas it largely borrows, but it does implement them in a fine way. Considering its lack of regional pricing you should pick this up while it is on sale.

Aquadine is a thrilling visual-novel experience with a brilliant art style and beautiful character design. Each character involved in the story only adds more life to the storyline and as a whole delivers an invigorating experience to the reader. Backed with amazing music that sets the mood of the situation, the game is topped with amazing features allowing users to go back and forth with the story at any point in time.

If you’ve completed the base game and still looking to cure that Ghostrunner itch, you can find respite in the Ghostrunner Complete Edition till the sequel drops. Project_Hel is as intense as the base game with an equally thumping OST albeit being very short. Not to mention, it gets repetitive after a while just like the base game. Even with the addition of new game modes, you won’t find anything revolutionary to justify the pricing of the Complete Edition. However, if money isn’t the concern, then for me it’s a recommendation

Do you want to play Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed? Yes if you want to have something silly and not trying to be woke (I see you Saints Row) is open world and not GTA, and is varied enough that you may just be able to finish it. My advise if you do buy it, turn down the difficulty, don’t worry about the secondary objectives, and go crazy.

The Company Man is truly an interesting take on an Action Platformer game. It provides brilliant mechanics to traverse around the entire game design, which is complemented by a mind-blowing art style which truly sets the plot at any level. However, certain enemy type breaks the flow of the games, which forces you to spend more time with a level. And the storyline which starts well slowly breaks apart as it develops towards the climax.

I had a fun time playing Fobia – St. Dinfna Hotel with some frustrations regarding puzzles and lack of a map. During my 10-hour playthrough, i barely had any performance issues. The game is currently priced at 699 INR on Steam and for the price its asking its completely worth it and players looking for some horror action game after playing recent Resident Evil titles should feel right at home although it lacks some iconic antagonists like Mr.X and Lady Dimitrescu, it should fill a void of your horror games until a new Resident Evil title drops. Fobia – St. Dinfna Hotel is available right on PS4, PS5, XBOX ONE, XBOX SERIES X and S and PC via steam.

Redout 2 provides a unique arcade racing experience that few other games can compete with. If you find the modern trend of open-world racing games disturbing and want to try something a little different – this game’s definitely for you. If you’re a big fan of high-stakes racing, the high-octane experience provided by the game is sure to keep you stirring in your seat like a child. A fair word of warning – if you’re not willing to invest time in mastering the art of arcade racing at insane speeds, Redout 2 isn’t for you.

My Time At Sandrock is a life-simulator that manages to get the soul of a post-apocalyptic world correct while staying cheerful for the most part. The game, even in its current state is indeed something that can be enjoyed by people of every age. If you’re a bit bored of the lack of game releases in the second quarter of this year and want to pick up something that you can play for a while – My Time At Sandrock should certainly be on your radar.

"The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle is the perfect MMORPG a newbie can ever ask for. Even with its dated looks, it’s still a refreshing experience and a treat to explore the depths and corners of the world. Having a perfect welcoming experience for new players allows the growth of the game and makes new content like High Isle Possible. The story of High Isle is extremely fun and highly engaging. However, it ends on a dry note which still opens up an opportunity for more content on the Ascendant Arc. Playing it solo, or with a group of friends, the game promises fun throughout with minimal bugs and beautiful voiceovers and story writing. If you’ve been keeping an eye on the game or the expansion, don’t waste more time and dive into the world of Elder Scrolls with The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle."

Recommended - Evil Dead: The Game
May 23, 2022

Evil Dead: The Game is a surprisingly good nostalgic romp thanks to its fluid matchmaking system and game modes. It is a blast to play as a Survivor and it’s downright gratifying on the Demon side of things. However, the offline missions feel lacklustre and are forced to unlock the in-game characters on the single-player side of things. Considering its lack of polish and not-so-enticing visuals on last-gen consoles, your best bet would be to get the deluxe edition on sale when most of these issues have been fixed. Still, it is an easy recommendation if you have a fun squad to hang out with.

May 16, 2022

Salt & Sacrifice is a very challenging game and that may put off a lot of people. But these games are made with a very specific audience in mind. For fan, the sequel is a bigger and better version of the first game with a satisfying kill-die-repeat gameplay loop. It doesn’t make any compromises in quality and that is quite evident from the look of the game to how it play. If you’re someone who’s not put off by the challenge (that’s sometimes needless) and “immersive” Souls features, definitely give Salt & Sacrifice a try. It’s definitely worth one’s salt….hahaha…I’ll see myself out.

Dune: Spice Wars is perfectly poised to be the meta-defining 4X real-time strategy game in the market. However, the lacklustre amount of game content as well as the repetitive gameplay does hurt the game’s replayability. There also seem to be some performance issues, albeit mild, which hinder the player’s experience. I would definitely recommend waiting out for a sale for this one if you are really keen on trying out another new addition to the strategy genre. If you’re not a big fan of strategy games and just wanted to try the game out because it’s set in the Dune universe, I’d reckon you’d have to look elsewhere.

Trek To Yomi is a surreal cinematic experience based on times when Samurai existed. You play as Hiroki and get to experience his traumatic fate and his journey where he travels to a depth of Yomi itself only to protect the people he took an oath to protect. The combat system is straightforward and sometimes troublesome, but the cinematic experience put throughout the chapters of the game will have you hooked. I proudly give the game a super 8/10. Personally, you don’t want to miss this title at all!

In a world of fighting games where most of them are either online or have a massive storey around them that you can enjoy for hours, Sifu takes a different approach. It does end up being a roguelike but the game catches your attention with the way you fight. It’s always fun to go through these locations and take all of the enemies down one by one. Smash a few bottles on their face, take them down with a finisher and test your skills with a boss who apparently starts following social distancing. Anyone who has watched martial arts movies or Kung fu movies would really enjoy this game.

Feb 28, 2022

Shadow Warrior 3 is a well-paced, well-polished first-person shooter. The gunplay is fast, brutal and beefy with lots of blood, guts and gore. It may not break any new ground but the formula established here is a solid framework for future entries. That being said, the short campaign, limited exploration, and lack of replayability factor make Shadow Warrior 3 a one-and-done kind of experience. The inclusion of story DLCs, an endless mode, NG+ as well as more difficulty settings will make it a better game for sure.

Pagan: Control is a fantastic DLC. It offers an entirely different environment, that is unique to itself. It adds more depth to people who previously enjoyed Far Cry 4. The game looks stunning on higher graphics and next-gen consoles. The gameplay feels smooth, fast and action-filled at all times. Although, we do think that there could be more memories or events from Far Cry 4 for Pagan’s eyes that we saw as Ajay. You can play the DLC on co-op even if one of you owns the DLC.

To be honest, I can’t really wait to jump in with my squad into the incursion zones because of the intense survival atmosphere that Rainbow 6: Extraction evokes. In my playthrough, there were scenarios where one of us deployed smoke and the other took down the targets, one of us manned a turret while the other two tried to free the MIA operative. The enemy and weapon types are varied enough, each with their own pros and cons and that encourages familiarity with every single gun, something which R6:Siege veterans might prefer. The game is coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day 1 and as per Ubisoft, more DLCs and Expansions will come. Possibly more locations and other operators from R6:Siege‘s roster. The player base is bound to increase in the coming weeks and R6:Extraction might as well be the first sleeper hit of 2022.

The Collapse DLC for Far Cry 6 is a great combination of Mindless Shooting, on the brink of Survival and Looking back at what went wrong. The ability of co-op once again is a great addition to a format like this, giving a better challenge and a better chance at making it out alive. Having its own flaws of being highly repetitive in terms of objective after a few runs, it does allow you to increase difficulty with 5 different levels.
