Despite having some sparse storytelling and a lot of annoying gameplay elements, the System Shock remake still succeeded in providing an enjoyable experience and proved that even after all these years, the game is still worth the time of new and returning fans.
While Loop8: Summer of Gods is a JRPG that has an interesting concept and some genuinely good features, the game is unfortunately bogged down with poor optimizations, questionable gameplay decisions, and a very painful combat system.
Pokemon Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond, despite ignoring some of the original's issues, is a great remake that runs remarkably well and sports excellent visuals.
I did miss the more serious, almost Blade Runner style vibe from the first game. Despite the fact that Aiden Pearce was an asshole, I always felt cool hacking and infiltrating facilities in that game. Here, that feeling is quite gone, and everything just feels more frivolous. Watch Dogs 2 is an enjoyable, yet flawed, ride. However, poor check-pointing, and putting in place limitations to keep the player underpowered for a long stretch of the game mar this experience.
