Gorogoa is a rare example of a game that's unique in form and interesting in content. It's a short (just a couple of hours) game, but with very rich and touching story, really interesting puzzles, and stunning visuals.

Return of the Obra Dinn is a skillfully woven web of events and destinies. Unraveling it is not only an excellent workout for the mind, but also a real pleasure. Lucas Pope again remolded routine processes into an exciting gameplay, and, most importantly, he gracefully escaped the “second game syndrome”.

Pyre is one of the most innovative games of our time, combining seemingly incongruous elements: visual novel and fast-paced team sport. This combination, of course, will not work for everyone, but even if these ingredients caused indigestion, you will still fall in love with story. A story which brings out the feeling of sweet sadness, like when you finish a wonderful book, and leave your new friends behind. A story where victories can be bitter, and defeats can be bright. A story that can be told each time in a new way.

Amazing continuation of the legendary series, to which it makes no sense to apply the standards of the old Wolfenstein. MachineGames set new standards for linear story-driven shooters. It is another matter who needs these standards today, what with all the sandbox-openworld-multiplayer-games-as-service thing going on. The success of The New Colossus will partly determine the fate of the genre.

The project, deeply reminiscent of INSIDE, unexpectedly gets to a certain extent and the promise of the 1979 Revolution: Black Friday - in a grotesque manner. And from a slightly awkward, but not so bad clone turns... well, let not in a beautiful swan with a strong personality, but the project with its own voice.

Despite the star authors, Where The Water Tastes Like Wine runs the risk of being overlooked by the general public. Game is very specific in form and deep in content, almost devoid of gameplay in the usual sense. A collection of stories, dipping into folklore and exploring basic American archetypes under the guise of a video game.

FAR: Lone Sails is not long, very simple game, but with perfect rhytm and surprisingly addictive process. So much that you'll want to beat it in one session. And, perhaps, to start anew – it will not reveal something new and will not offer challenges, but it is very pleasant to swim along the waves of its melancholy. Kind of like to read a nice poem and then go over it.
