The rating would be much higher if the game wasn't being held back by the prevailing bugs. The sky is the limit for FC once EA iron out the creases.
EA Sports FC 24 is a beautiful new look for a classic that has been evolving for decades and establishing itself as the leading sports simulator on the market. With even better gameplay, more intuitive menus and more agile modes that allow you to go to the field as quickly as possible, this is the definitive proof that regardless of the name change, what matters is that the quality remains the same.

EA FC 24 emphatically puts any concerns to rest by delivering the most complete and satisfying depiction of the beautiful game seen to date. The gameplay that fans know and love has been tweaked and polished to make for a deeply enjoyable 90 minutes each time the whistle blows. An overhaul to Manager Career reinvigorates the fan-favorite mode and adds depth that has been sorely missing when compared to its competitors. Meanwhile, women’s players and the new Evolutions help Ultimate Team take significant strides when it comes to the freedom of sculpting a dream squad. However, given that this is set to kick off the next chapter in the series’ history, the lack of truly substantial changes on the pitch to match the slick new look keeps EA FC 24 from achieving Icon status.

EA Sports FC 24 is a good football simulator and is a good start as the new FIFA brand. However, Electronic Arts needs to take a step forward in some of the aspects of the game and improve for future releases. A good game for football fans and for those who enjoyed FIFA 23.

EA Sports FC 24 is a safe rebrand of the FIFA series. While it doesn’t stray too far from its predecessor, new additions improve the overall gameplay. Playstyles highlight skills and HyperMotionV helps to make each athlete feel distinct. All of these aspects merge to create one of the most authentic football games to date. Even though monetization plagues Ultimate Team and Career Mode is largely the same, FC 24 refines moments on the pitch to make each touch a thrill.
EA Sports FC 24 brings us a little closer to more realistic football. The novelties in immersion are the perfect wrapper for a gameplay that is essentially the same, but that registers more important novelties than we expected. We only regret that it continues to sin of continuity and the lack of novelties in FIFA game modes.

The most playable FIFA – oops! – in years. This is an encouraging new start for the EA Sports FC franchise, with Ultimate Team innovations truly standing out, and PlayStyles adding a smart new wrinkle to the on-turf action.
Despite the rebranding, EA Sports FC 24 is a familiar product for good and for worse. The technological improvements continue to push the experience of mimicking the Beautiful Game in the right direction; having more leagues is always great, and the additional support for the women’s game is commendable. There remains niggling issues, as well as the sense that things are reaching a plateau, but for players looking for their football fix, there really isn’t any worthy substitute out there right now, even if this newcomer feels more like a Europa League contender instead of a Champions League heavyweight.
EA Sports FC 24 takes a cautious approach and focuses on further improving realism. Female players will play a more prominent role in the Ultimate Team mode, bringing some changes to this popular content. Unfortunately, as a new game, it lacks significant innovation compared to FIFA 23.

EA Sports FC 24 was presented as the perfect occasion for EA to hit the table. It is true that the separation of FIFA left a lot of uncertainty, but in the end it has been almost a mere formality. It has not even been noticed in the licenses, since the company still has practically all, including the men's and women's Champions League. Thus, the focus of this new saga has been able to focus on what matters, the gameplay.

Overall, a top-tier football game that is packed to the rafters with content and gameplay.
EA SPORTS FC 24 marks the transition to a 'new franchise name', but certainly does not mark a transition in terms of innovation and significant improvements. In terms of content, there is very little new under the sun and you really have to look for actual improvements and changes in terms of features. In terms of experience, the game has improved considerably, with particularly cool cinematics that emphasize the atmosphere. The game has also improved slightly in terms of gameplay, although the AI is still far from optimal. The tweaks that have been made are fine, but the game may also become more surprising after years of tweaks and minor adjustments. HyperMotionV is therefore more something for the stage than groundbreaking. And actually that feature was already there. However, HyperMotionV has now been made more mature and more interesting than before. The same applies to Precision Passing, I don't notice it much, just like responsive shooting, which simply doesn't bring enough innovation. EA SPORTS FC 24 is a game that does little really wrong, but also plays very 'safe'.

Thanks to great technological enhancements, you'll enjoy the best virtual football experience in years. It's just a shame that it's all built on tweaks. Also, all the new technology is just there to improve what we already know. But we want new modes, new experiences. And that's not here.
