The Last of Us Part I is a complete remake of the original game with all new and updated graphics, including new models and texture work. The Last of Us is easily one of gaming's biggest hits in the last decade, and now the classic has been redone to take advantage of the new technology available to make it on par with its sequel, The Last of Us Part II

Following the adventures of Ellie and Joel, The Last of Us Part I takes place 20 years after a fungus has destroyed civilization, reducing most people to mindless monsters. Joel agrees to escort Ellie to a safe location in exchange for some more supplies for himself and those he lives with. The game soon revolves around the strong relationship and bond between Ellie and Joel as they fight together to travel across the United States.

While there are no hands-on previews of this version of the game yet, The Last of Us Remastered (made for PlayStation 4) currently holds a 94 Top Critic Average, making it the 7th best reviewed game of all time on OpenCritic's list as of publishing.

The Last of Us Part I releases September 2nd on PlayStation 5. It will release on PC at a later date yet to be announced.
