64hoops Instruments of Destruction Review

Mar 26, 2025
I think you need to be into the building vehicles section to really enjoy this. If you don't, then this is honestly just a simple fun mobile game, which isn't a bad thing! But the build mode just looks way too complex for me, and the console controls feel like a puzzle in itself. The third tutorial mission completely shut me down and caused me to stop trying it. The campaign is very simple and linear. The destruction is awesome, and when you're given the right mission with the right vehichle, you can see why people love the gameplay so much. And tying in a little comedy corporate story into this is pretty fun, but it's nothing to write home at all. However, the campaign gets REALLY repetitive over time, but tbh, its perfect when you have a tv show/sports game going on with the second screen and you're not completely locked into what's going on (Hence why I compare it to a mobile game like Angry Birds) I do wish there was more variety in the buildings/structures you destroy. It gets tiring seeing the same white structure every time. Also, I felt like the number of missions felt more quantity over quality, AGAIN the mobile comparison. Overall, I think its just fine. If this was being sold at $40 I would say no to this. But the fact this is less than $20 and made by 1 guy makes it hard to hate. 7/10
