64hoops Star Wars: Squadrons Review
Jun 7, 2026
Kind of reminds me of when Star Wars battlefront 2015 launched. The mechanics are almost perfect, the graphics are stunning, and the sound is 1:1 with Star Wars. You can tell EA motive wanted this to be THE SW pilot fantasy for many.
Unfortunately, the content just feels shallow (Not as bad as BF 2015 luckily). The story is pretty forgettable and is basically the tutorial. There’s a small pickings of the amount of ships to choose from, no clone wars, no hero ships, and a lack of the big movie moment that people are looking for (Death Star and Hoth battles for example).
Overall, there’s just not a ton here to feel like $40 was the price to charge for the minimum content that’s here, $20 would be the sweet price point for this back in the day. This even could’ve been a decent live service game if it had the proper support. This is really only for the diehard flight stick VR obsessed people.
