AlexQret Floppy Knights Review
Feb 18, 2025
One of the most fun games I've played in a while! In my opinion, Floppy Knights deserves more recognition, as it is a lovely game with a combat system that's surprisingly full of depth despite the low number of cards, and all of them are fairly balanced (except for a few OP strategies such as Growth Formula on Artillery Slime to basically get infinite movement, and Theorycraft on a Prototype Alpha). The levels were also really challenging at times (especially the one turn challenges and some side quest levels). The art style was really nice, the story was unremarkable but enjoyable, but the music was the real highlight. It's full of bangers that spice up the gameplay a lot and are really complex from a musical standpoint. My personal favorites are "The Finals" and "Prototype Panic".
The only complaints I have are the slow pace of the enemies movement and the Whittlewoods chapter. I tried turning on fast mode but that was way too fast for me, and I couldn't really process what was going on. As for Whittlewoods... Fog of war is annoying.
