Andru S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Review
Nov 24, 2024
Briefly about the pros: the game is beautiful, atmospheric, good sound, not the worst story.
Cons: the developers, in their usual manner, wrote about the living world and A-life 2.0 (the mention of which disappeared a few days before the release!). The world is empty - the probability that you will not meet anyone between the locations is 95-98%. To make this hack not seem so catastrophic, the brilliant "not liars" developers came up with the idea to spawn an NPC 50 meters away from you - have fun, you fool!
Campfire gatherings are announced. 18.5 hours of play and I saw NPCs sitting in the field by the campfire twice - the rest of the time the parking lots are empty. NPCs can only be found in places where they are placed by the hands of developers - the unpredictability of passing at the highest level.
Well, if the developers were so screwed up, they would have already made a corridor shooter - it would look better than what it is now (a huge and beautiful zone, but completely empty and not interesting). For those who haven't played or are going to - the game looks 100% like in an interview from the developers of "Deep Dive" - everyone thought that the concept of the location of the swamps implies the absence of NPCs, but no - this is how the whole game looks. Actually, that's why the previously announced A-life 2.0 was not shown to us - there is nothing to show!
