avibro21 Fortnite: Battle Royale Review
Feb 26, 2025
The basics of the game are fine but the damage system is unreliable or doesn't make sense. I can shoot someone with a shotgun midrange and do 64 damage but the same shot 6 meters away only does 22.
Some of the weapons available make the game feel unplayable. When swords were added a lot of fans expressed that it was op. The sword increased speed, and jump height, and could deal damage to players without actually touching them. The developers in all their wisdom managed to introduce worse weapons in this new chapter. The baseball bat allows players to run faster and jump higher than the swords did but also lets them spam you with unblockable hits that deal 30-60 damage per hit. The ranking of weapons doesn't seem to matter either. If you have a legendary shotgun you will lose to a rare assault rifle at close range even if you have better aim. I've never seen such a lack of care in a game that has been around this long. Fortnite used to be fun but it's run by people who no longer seem to care about making a fun enjoyable game for anyone over 12 years old.
Don't let yourself think that this is a gun game, it's not. If you prefer to play with guns and not the overpowered gloves/bats/lasers/swords or other bs play Call of Duty.
