BeyondTheMetrics Look Outside Review
Nov 14, 2025
Look Outside is one of those games that sneaks up on you. I went in expecting something simple, maybe even predictable, and it ended up getting under my skin in the best way. The atmosphere is tight, the pacing keeps you guessing, and the whole vibe feels like someone mixed mystery, tension, and a little emotional punch into one weirdly addicting experience.
The story doesn’t spoon-feed anything, which I actually liked. You have to piece things together, pay attention, and let it mess with your head a bit. The visuals and sound design aren’t flashy, but they’re dialed in perfectly for the mood.
And this part surprised me the most: there aren’t many games that manage to capture true cosmic horror the way H.P. Lovecraft described it, but this one gets close. It nails that feeling of something bigger, unknowable, and completely indifferent staring back at you.
It’s not a long game, but honestly, it doesn’t need to be. It lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, and that’s worth more than extra hours of filler. If you’re into narrative-driven experiences that make you think and hit you with that creeping, cosmic dread, Look Outside is absolutely worth your time.
