Bitek75 Borderlands 4 Review

Oct 17, 2025
I'm glad I didn't listen to all the negative comments because BL4 is a really great game. The silver lining of all the fuss about its performance is that I managed to get it on sale a month after release. I enjoyed BL2, BL3, and I like BL4 just as much. The graphics, new characters, weapons, and open-world environments are fantastic. I haven’t experienced any performance issues; the game runs smoothly on my PC, and I haven’t had any crashes. Whatever changes they made work perfectly for me. That said, I do think it’s unacceptable for Randy Pitchford to ignore gamers' complaints. Games are expensive, and people wouldn’t raise concerns without valid reasons. A simple acknowledgment like "we hear you, we’ll look into it and fix it as soon as possible" would have gone a long way. Instead, his comments blaming gamers for the game not running well on their PCs have alienated parts of the community and likely cost a lot of sales, with people delaying their purchases. Gearbox should take note of EA, who learned from past Battlefield releases, proving that listening to the community can lead to massive success, as seen with BL6.
