Bitek75 Resident Evil Requiem Review

Mar 26, 2026
Such a good game. Capcom has truly outdone itself with this one. Resident Evil Requiem is a fantastic addition to the franchise, capturing everything fans love about classic Resident Evil while delivering a fresh, modern experience. I even made a point of playing it after dark, in complete darkness, with headphones on and the immersion was absolutely terrifying in the best way. Requiem kicks off 2026 with a bang for survival‑horror fans. The atmosphere, pacing, puzzles, and overall design feel unmistakably Resident Evil, evoking that nostalgic tension the series is known for. Capcom didn’t try to reinvent the wheel here, and honestly, that’s the right call. They stuck with the formula that works, and the game is stronger because of it. One of the biggest highlights for me is the ability to choose between first‑person and third‑person right from the start. I’ve always preferred third‑person, and having that option available without needing a special DLC feels like a thoughtful, player‑first decision. Visually, the game is stunning especially on a super‑ultrawide 32:9 monitor like the Samsung Neo G9 49". The level of immersion on that massive field of view is incredible, and the environments look gorgeous stretched across the entire screen. All in all, Resident Evil Requiem is another strong, confident entry from Capcom. A must‑play for fans of the series and a great way to start the year for anyone who loves survival‑horror.
