Bitek75 Routine Review

Jan 5, 2026
After 13 years in development, it should have stayed in development or never been released at all. I bought this game because multiple reviews compared it to Alien: Isolation, and the promotional material looked impressive. That comparison is blatantly false. This game is nothing like Alien: Isolation, and the marketing is flat-out deceptive. The screenshots and promo images look heavily edited, almost certainly photoshopped, to sell a product that does not resemble the actual game in any meaningful way. Let’s get the basics out of the way. The controls are clunky, the tutorials are poorly designed, and the puzzles are dull and uninspired. But all of that is secondary to the game’s horrendous graphics. I cannot stress this enough: the visuals are absolutely awful. Muddy textures, unreadable text, and blurry environments make the game actively unpleasant to look at. My eyes literally hurt while playing. That has never happened to me before in a video game. I simply cannot play this game for more than a short time. I have never ever experienced motion sickness in a video game. I’m using a 5120×1440 ultrawide monitor, and the game clearly wasn’t designed with modern resolutions in mind. It looks like a 640×480 image stretched across the entire screen. That’s how bad it is. Windowed mode doesn’t help, it still looks terrible and uncomfortable. Frame rate doesn’t matter either: 30 FPS, 60 FPS, 120 FPS, none of it fixes the fundamental problem. This game is visually broken. This game looks nothing like the Steam photos. What you see in the store is not what you get. Gameplay-wise, this isn’t even a proper horror game. It’s a tedious puzzle slog where you run from room to room, stare at muddy text, try to figure out which door opens next, and repeat. There’s no tension, no atmosphere, no fear. The enemies are not scary, they’re boring and lame. Comparing this game to Alien: Isolation is an insult to that game and to the talented developers who made it. The two are not even in the same universe. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this one deserves it. I genuinely regret buying it. $35 wasted. It’s a rip-off sold on attractive images that have little to nothing to do with the real product. Do not waste your money. Just go play Alien: Isolation again you’ll have a far better experience. Score: 0/10. I almost never give ratings like this, but this game earned it.
