Bitek75 Beast of Reincarnation Review

Beast of Reincarnation A Hidden Gem Worth Your Attention After finishing Beast of Reincarnation, I can confidently say that this is a good game that deserves more attention. The developers have clearly put a lot of effort into improving it since launch, addressing many of the issues and criticisms along the way. I bought Beast of Reincarnation mainly because I loved the idea of having a giant wolf as a companion and second main character. I also kept seeing comparisons to Stellar Blade and NieR: Automata in other reviews. Those two games are among my all-time favourites, and I've platinumed both of them. So, despite the mixed reviews, I decided to give this game a chance. The Stellar Blade vibes are noticeable almost immediately, especially in the beautiful soundtrack. At times, the music feels so similar in style that you'd almost think the same composer worked on both games. Honestly, I think Beast of Reincarnation is considerably better than its average Steam review scores would suggest. I can't say exactly what the game was like at launch, but the patches seem to have made a meaningful difference. Features such as ultrawide support and skippable cutscenes are welcome additions that make the overall experience better. One thing I really appreciate is the game's more relaxed pace. And the wolf? He's awesome. Having him by your side gives the game so much personality, and the relationship between the characters gradually becomes one of its biggest strengths. There's also an intriguing story that keeps you coming back for more. The further you progress, the more interesting the game becomes, and I found myself increasingly invested in its world and characters. Combat is a lot of fun, especially once you start unlocking new weapons, upgrades, and skills for Koo, your wolf companion. I still think Stellar Blade has more fluid and polished combat, but the fighting in Beast of Reincarnation becomes significantly more entertaining as you progress and expand your abilities. Of course, the game isn't perfect. There are moments when you can tell that this is Game Freak's first attempt at developing a game of this type. Some technical issues remain as well, including problems with frame generation. These shortcomings are noticeable, but they never completely overshadow what the game does well. What kept me playing was the mysterious world and the desire to discover what was waiting around the next corner. I genuinely wanted to keep exploring, uncover more of the story, and learn more about the characters. Ultimately, that's what matters most to me. After experiencing the game for myself, I feel that Beast of Reincarnation is much better than its "Mixed" reviews might lead you to believe. The deeper I got into it, the more I wanted to discover. Another thing worth mentioning is the abundance of campsites scattered throughout the maps. You can fast-travel between locations from very early in the game, making it easy to get closer to your main objectives without spending too much time wandering around. This is a great option for players who prefer to focus on the main story rather than spend hours exploring every corner of the world. I also appreciate the range of difficulty settings. If you're mainly interested in the story, characters, and exploration, you can tailor the experience to suit your preferences. On the other hand, if you're looking for combat that challenges your reflexes and skills, the game offers that option too. There's enough flexibility for different types of players to enjoy the experience in their own way. Overall, I really enjoyed this game. Once I bought it, it took me just three days to finish it because I kept coming back for more. I just couldn't seem to put it down. I liked the story, I liked the characters, and I especially enjoyed watching their relationship develop into a deeper connection as the adventure progressed. I also really liked the way the game ended, which left me feeling satisfied with the journey I'd taken. If you're a fan of Stellar Blade or NieR: Automata, and the idea of exploring a strange, mysterious world alongside a giant wolf sounds appealing to you, I wouldn't let the mixed reviews scare you away. The game has its flaws, but there's a lot to like here, and its strengths become more apparent the further you play. I'm genuinely glad I gave Beast of Reincarnation a chance. It's not a perfect game, but it's an enjoyable experience that deserves more appreciation than it's currently getting.
