Bitek75 Control Resonant Review
Sep 27, 2026
I wasn’t planning on buying another game this year. 2026 has already blessed us with an incredible lineup, and my hobby budget was officially tapped out. My bank account was screaming NO but after reading reviews, I knew that I had to get this game right all the way.
I am happy to report that the game does not disappoint. It is 100% crazy Remedy at its best.
The gameplay reminded me of inFAMOUS Second Son and Spider-Man. It is essentially an open world Control, complete with side missions, areas to unlock, beaten-up street combat, big boss fights, exploration, and plenty of things to discover. The structure is very Spider Man like, but with Remedy’s unmistakable weirdness layered on top.
I’ve played pretty much everything Remedy has ever made, and somehow, they just keep getting better. Control Resonant feels even more unhinged than its predecessor. We’re talking crazier visuals, slicker combat, the mind bending Control universe, and a plot so convoluted that I already know I’m going to need a three hour YouTube deep dive just to understand what happened.
And I absolutely love that craziness.
There are very few studios willing to attempt something this ambitious and completely bonkers and even fewer that can execute those ideas with this level of creativity, technical polish, and sheer confidence. I absolutely adore this studio, their surreal approach to storytelling, and the cutting edge technology they continue to push.
I went for the Deluxe Edition without thinking twice. These guys and girls deserve all the support they can get so they can keep bringing their wild ideas to life, especially now that they’re self publishing and have more control over their own work and the fruits of their creativity.
Wishing Remedy massive sales success. Now I’m just counting down the days until the inevitable and surely completely mind-bending DLC drops.
