Boregorey Honkai: Star Rail Review
Feb 1, 2025
Whether you are a long-time fan of the gacha style games, or a newcomer to the genre, HSR brings a lot to the table. Stellar cinematics, great character designs, solid story and fun gameplay are all present.
As far as the gacha/pulling goes the game gives you enough options early on along with many ways to get yourself started that it doesn't feel bad to play the game purely F2P. The game lets you enjoy what it has to offer without any really urge to spend, and that is honestly the main gripe i hear with people who groan at the mention of these types of games.
The turn-based combat flows very well and seems to promote a more horizontal investment strategy over other games that encourage you to use more characters and give way to a more exciting path to team building. Overall, this makes the dailies quite a bit more manageable than other games as you can auto-battle them quite easily if you are feeling a bit burnt out on the game.
Characters: 9.5/10

World Design/Setting: 9/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Visuals/Aesthetic: 9.5/10

If you like the aesthetic and enjoy turn-based combat at all, this game is definitely worth a go.
