BrokenConstellation The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog Review

May 17, 2026
I don't know who decided to get together and make this game as an april fools joke, but I love them and they are a genius. There is so much love and effort put into this game. The art is wonderful and the character designs are simply iconic. The dialogue is fun and memorable. The mystery itself is engaging. The ending did not seem obvious to me, although after playing the game again I could tell they sprinkled little hints here and there that most people probably wouldn't pick up on the first time. Aside from being a visual novel this game DOES have a little segment where MC wonders "what would Sonic the Hedgehog do?" and you have to beat a little minigame to progress. Sonic must avoid obstacles and collect a certain amount of rings by the end to succeed. Admittedly, I struggled with these segments as they got more difficult. Luckily the game is very forgiving. If you fail, you can just try again as many times as you want. Overall, this game is one of my favorites. Fans directed me to it when I was still a very new fan, and I think it is excellent for new fans. I love the characterization of everyone here. Honestly, my only complaint is that Silver isn't in the game. I don't quite understand why Blaze was included while he was left out. His absence doesn't take anything away from the story in any way, I just kind of wish he was here. That's it!
