Captaincool Blue Prince Review

A unique and awesomely distributed puzzle roguelike. I played this for over 60 hours and I would say the middle 40 were some of the best and most engaging puzzle gameplay I have ever been a part of. The game is not easy on the player or the player's mentality. There are numerous failed runs, and even worse, failed multiple hour gameplay sessions where progress is not made. But if you can manage to focus on the overall story, breadth, and exploration of the game instead of laser focusing in on single puzzles that are RNG dependent it helps a lot. I do think the games final puzzles are kind of overboard on the difficulty and reasoning required. I got to a spot in the game where I was pleased and proud of my progress and looked up some hints for the next steps and decided to leave it at that. I love the game but don't have time to place 46 blue rooms on the 8th level over separate runs.
