Carighan Overwatch 2 Review

Sadly fallen incredibly far both in design and gameplay from what it once was. The excessive push towards e-sports during Overwatch (the original) and then later the switch to the F2P money-grabbing mess that is Overwatch 2 really hurt the core design formula, steadily shifting it away from interesting characters to a uniform, largely neutered, playing field. Which, sure, helps e-sports. But it also removed the big social chatty shared evening activity element of this game, where there were characters for everyone from the most die-hard FPS lover to the least. It's a shame, because this game was once something truly special. It's still decent if you want a fairly competitive 5v5 hero shooter, but sadly that's all it is nowadays. And it used to be so much more on top.
