The Story:
The story is interesting, and the mystery behind it is intriguing. For its time, it was a gorgeous game with really compelling storytelling mechanics.
Without spoilers, it’s about a law firm tasked with negotiating the takeover of an automaton company. This company is shrouded in mysteries, from the sophistication of their products to the characters who worked on them.
The main protagonist, Kate Walker, is assigned the aforementioned takeover. However, as she investigates, her interest is piqued, leading her down a rabbit hole of adventure and mystery.
Graphics:
The graphics are still very nice to look at today, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the world. The art style is unique and memorable.
Gameplay:
At its core, it’s a point-and-click adventure that includes logic puzzles fitting the story and actual reasoning. The puzzles aren’t too hard but can sometimes be missed, which may require a bit of backtracking. The voice acting was excellent for its time, though by today’s standards it might be considered average.
Overall:
If you enjoy story-driven games that you can play at your own pace, this is a great choice. If you’re interested in art and atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed by the many interesting locations the game has to offer.
